Great news for the young lad and TUFC. He will play on Saturday so it's great to see CH giving the young lads a chance with the likes of Prynn, Odofin and Ives all appearing this season also.

Anyone who watches the YT know anyone else worth signing?

Pleased to hear this as Dan could have a promising future which will be good for him and for the club. He's looked assured and confident despite that 'awful' goal after 4 minutes at Aldershot.
In time on this showing he'll be a top Number 1 but for next season as back-up to A.N. Other I would expect. Mind you that depends on the new owners' budget I guess.

Great news. Who knows, he seems the sort of player who could potentially make us some money in the future. Like the way CH is giving him a run of games now when there is less pressure. Definitely one for the future.

Was impressed with his showing at Aldertosh, despite *that* goal. Good Devonshire name too

No real surprise in this news, thought he was very calm under pressure Tuesday, and was great to see such a young keeper have the confidence to dive low to his left and hold the ball, rather than opting for the much easier parry, not going to over board however, he's not the first young player to come through showing great potential and promise, Halpin, Thompson and others have come before and fallen flat, so lets hope it works out for this lad.

It's always great to have a local boy in the team. A Torquay Boys' Grammar School pupil too.

To come into the first team aged 18 and make such a good first impression is fantastic. Niall Thompson and Kirtys MacKenzie have come in in recent years and been Man of the Match on debut, then not followed through, so even though it's only been 4 games it's a very positive sign that he's still making a good impression game on game.

He fully deserves a professional deal and although I still think we need a first choice goalkeeper, he should be kicking the door down to overtake whoever it is, like Ives has done with Tom Cruise. Going into next season with Lavercombe and Rice would be too risky for me personally, as neither has shown they are solid enough for any length of time. Lavercombe is 11 years younger than Rice though, which makes him a much, much better prospect as a number two goalkeeper, and he may very well have the ability to challenge for the number one shirt, as well as learning from an experienced and top quality keeper. He still has time on his side, especially as a goalkeeper. Joe Hart only played 6 times in his breakthrough season at Shrewsbury, so I think another season to see how he develops will really give us a better impression about how good he can be in the future.
