I don't know when you last checked, but the minimum wage is a bit higher now for 16 years old, it's £3.79 per hour.PhilGull wrote:How are you determining that it's below minimum wage? The current rate for an 18 year old is £5.13 per hour, which would make £150/week just under 30 hours. For apprentices aged between 16 and 18 it's only £2.73 per hour.

£2,000,000 turnover and we end up £500,000 in the crap each year!
Add to that we can only pay peanuts to full time players. Where is the cash going I wonder? Are we wasting it on Youth development and poor training facilities? Let's cut out all the hangers on, get back to putting the money into the 1st team.
Success on the field will breed success though out TUFC

Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory.

With that sort of money it's no surprise that Seabright went on to become a car sales man!
That's what Bateson always used to say, but when he did it he got slagged off.kevgull wrote:£2,000,000 turnover and we end up £500,000 in the crap each year!

What have you got against Odofin? CH must see something in him if he's been on the fringes of the first team.supergulls wrote:What a load of rubbish from Hargreaves that they cannot afford to keep Parcell, just do what you have done in the past you numpty, loan him out and get his wages paid by someone else. Also if your telling me that Oneil Odofin is ready to play but Parcell isn't I can't stop laughing. He couldn't do 10 kick ups
Odofin looked ropey as anything when he came on against Bishops Stortford in the FA Trophy. Might have been nerves, a one-off maybe but on what I saw I wouldn't be comfortable if he was our first choice back-up option

Angus MacDonald came originally from Reading and he shows promise. Well I went to watch Basingstoke today take on Whitehawk in the Conference South Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd leg and Whitehawk won 1-0 to go into the Final thanks to a great goal from Jake Robinson (still a good goalscorer) but one of the stand-out players was Robbie Dickie who played centre-back for Basingstoke. He's there on loan from the Reading Academy and would be well worth a look before somebody else does.
Prynn and Odofin have both tweeted that they've been offered professional contracts. Not sure if they're the only two (obviously aside from Ives and Lavercombe).

Originally, the amount of "HA"'s was approximately 10 times the size of this, but I decided to hold back as he hasn't signed for them yet.
If he does, then I'll be sure to let the members of a Yeovil supporters group know just how many "HA"'s I offer.

And as we know in this day and age it is essential that all centre backs can do 10 kick ups in a game.Crazygullsfan55 wrote: What have you got against Odofin? CH must see something in him if he's been on the fringes of the first team.
