I remember one comment from North when he was here last about what's the point in passing the ball around when you can get it in the box in one!

Added in 2 minutes 44 seconds:
But at this moment I couldn't care what type of football is played, we need to get out of this mess asap

I also remember many comments on just how good a coach North was and how well he ran training etc

Yeah, am no way knocking him is just a comment that stuck in my head that's all!

If he or anyone for that fact is willing and wants to come and manage us for next to nothing, then they have to be applauded!

If possible I would like to see a Player manager, dominant midfielder if possible. Rare as rocking horse sh@t though!

Think Mike Green was a player-manager too to start with.

Added in 1 minute 40 seconds:
Roy Race did quite well at Melchester Rovers...

Do I need to define 'modern era' to you!

and a cartoon might not be the best evidence to base a managerial choice on!

Having been born in the 1970's I consider that decade to be the modern era. Apologies. When would you consider that the 'modern era' commenced? I will see if I can find an example to suggest which would fit with your arbitrary constraints.
