Based on what do you believe he WON'T keep you up?

There is nothing to say either way.

He might , he might not.

You'll soon find out then you can claim the bragging rights which I'm sure Brucie will be first in the queue should it go terminally wrong. By the same token, if KN gets it right those who disagreed should equally come on, apologise for getting it wrong and give immense credit for an amazing job done by the board and KN.

One thing i'm sure of is that if KN gets it wrong the site's server will have a tricky time coping with demand.

If KN gets it right then the inactivity on this very same forum will be telling.

All football forums are , are one-upmanship contests. Someone predicts doom and then when it happens they can't wait to come on and tell everyone what a hugely impressive penis they have and how their cranial abilities are akin to that of the aliens that created humans.

Someone predicts success and then when it happens they can't wait to tell those 'doubters' that they now have the larger member.

If you all worked together then you'd be unstoppable.

Humans eh? Ego's and stubbornness. You'll get nowhere.
I have not said he won't keep us up - I have asked on what basis does PhilGull think he will. Because he hopes it?

However, I don't imagine the odds on us avoiding relegation have shortened, with this appointment.

Would like to think he can keep us up but in my heart I am not convinced. Simply, the wrong appointment and next season will see us as a part- time outfit in Conference South. The Board HAD to get this appointment right, sadly I think they have got it terribly wrong.

The conference is not that strong as it has been in the past..
We started late in recruitment and we have been playing catch up, its September and we have time on our side..
If Kev gets the team organised and the club starts working in the community, to engage the local community, then fans will start coming back..
Bums on seats, means a little extra money to put into the team and also a feelgood factor for the club and the team on the pitch..

We can stay up...

Success this season will be securing another season at this level. Can he do it? Yes he can. Will he? Who knows. I for one will be backing him rather than slating him before a ball is kicked in anger. He might not have been my preference but all things considered I think he was the standout candidate once the no-hopers were removed from the list.

There is some good players in our squad:
- Speiss is far from the worst keeper at this level
- McDonald is no Conference South Player
- Smith has shown he can handle it in this league
- Hurst is our best player
- Berry is a good signing and has come in so we can utilise Hurst as more of an offensive weapon
- Butler played 30 games in league 2 last year
- Marsh is starting to find form and adds much needed pace
- Fisher almost got a deal with a legaue 2 club before joining us
- Heslop has yet to show form but has a past which is at a higher level than we are now
- Carmicheal (I think) can boss a game when confident
- Richards (before his confidence went) was getting rave reviews last year
- Briscoe was instrumental to a team who won this division
- Fairhurst is yet to kick a ball in anger but will return at some point

Trouble is they are a very young bunch who are in much need of a confidence boost. We just need to find a shape and formation which works best, win a few games and get of this rut.

With what is listed above, some confidence and if Kev can utilise Milton and the loan market wisely then we have every chance IMO.

Agree Dave.
I feel much more positive about Nicho than ever would/did about Hargreaves.
Nicho even has a pop at Hargreaves in his interview.
All Hargreaves did was mince around and moan about everything.

No way?! You didn't feel positive about Greavsie? You didn't rate him?
You never mentioned this in the past....

If he could appoint Neil Warnock as assistant manager I think we might be alright.

Well perhaps we can get Harry Redknapp as Director of Football as well?

Great article here, for those that don't check the main site, on how our previous player managers did.
