Casper Ankergren. Brighton Goalkeeper.
Casper is currently 3rd choice Goalkeeper at Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.
He is 6 feet 3 tall and 15 stone. 5 years at Brighton and 36 years old.
Just what we need. 3 month loan? Used to play for Leeds United.
Currently doing his coaching badges so I guess nearing the end of his career.
We should ask Chris Hughton to do us a favour. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Good shout.
I think the club should get on the phone and start calling around lots of clubs to see who's available for a loan period. I'd even call Colin Lee and ask him who Chelsea have got that might fancy a month down here.
For the cost of a phone bill, some of the calls could come up trumps.
Goalkeeper and Central Defender being the priority.

What about asking Gary Monk if he can help us with the loan of a couple of players. I'd be amazed if he didn't have some feelings for the club after starting his career here.

Same goes for Mike Williamson, he might know of some decent youngsters at Newcastle and Wolves.

Maybe ask Gary Monk about Gerhard Tremmel, seems unlikely he will get game time at Swansea unless in a real emergency, experienced keeper and maybe a positive influence on out two young keepers, keep him match fit too.

I feel that a lot of the keepers mentioned may be a little out of our league. No harm in trying of course, but both Tremmel and Ankergren have played at a good level fairly recently.

So is this thread about a signing we might make or are we just literally scouting through the leagues looking for suitable players and wishing they could sign? This Casper bloke looks to have an amazing CV and would make a big difference to the squad but why the heck would he want to come down here??
With respect Dave, if you have contacts in the professional game you think may be of use to the club, you will be better off giving Kevin Nicholson a ring and offering your assistance.davidcaldwell123 wrote:If it helps I know Colin Calderwood at Brighton ???

Nice idea. Where is the money coming from for this then?
