Just don't get it
As a new member I have been reading with interest the forums over the last few days ,and I am gutted with the state of a club which I have supported for 41 years through good and bad times . Having stood at plaimoor on a wet night with 900 hundred hardy souls for a league game , I just can't understand why we have have these money worries now when things are better now than in those days ?
Twenty years ago fans would have been knocking down doors demanding answers, does no one really care anymore , is are fate already sealed .

I think we have been hammered into submission. We have talk of Ajala, Midlenhall and god knows who else coming.
But in reality there hasn't been any statement from the board. We may have signed another South Devon League player and when weare completely bereft of players over the Xmas period we release another player (Fisher) which again looks totally ridiculous.

With Fenwick also apparently gone plus all those injured we're down to the bare bones; almost lucky to get 11 on the pitch for Boxing Day.
With players leaving by the day no wonder there is no official news from TQ1; it's hard to keep up!

Fenwick gone too? Blimey, can someone post a list of players (contracted, non contract, loan) that we actually have registered now?
Was just thinking that as well.
I make it we have the following available for Boxing Day;
Lavercombe & the new Fisher
Butler, MacDonald, Smith, Nicho, Berry? Butler, Gerring
Richards? Carmichael, Heslop, Verma, Murombedzi, Chaney
Briscoe, Wright
Not sure if Berry or Richards are going to be back fit or not.
Not much hope of filling the bench!

Apparently Richards, Berry and Marsh all trained today. That gives us 17 based on the above (removing Butler who was mentioned twice, and adding Marsh).
Not ideal for 3 games in a week but at least having a smaller squad gives us some room to add some. 3 departures + Lavercombe sale (especially if loaned back) might be a few quid to have a go at survival. If championship clubs are offering to 'help' (Nicholson's quote on Facebook) by offering players for £500 a week, then we might be able to get a few in for 5 months...

An injury in defence and we're screwed.

That is correct. He got his 10th booking against Chester.Admiral wrote:I believe MacDonald is suspended for the next two matches.

You are aware that Fisher hasn't even signed aren't you? I've seen no statement from the club or anyone official, not even a Breedy FB status, only word is from Fisher himself. Corderoy has been training with them all season and played in all the friendlies, I'd be pretty surprised if the Fisher signing was true. I expect an experienced no.2 will come in during January but Scott will stay on the bench until then.Tarrboy1 wrote:Was just thinking that as well.

So the part time begins
To the dotted line, We're on our way
So from almost signing a decent keeper in Mildenhalll we actually end no with another no neck amateur. Its all just complete bollocks.

If it was a choice of spending £ on players id rather Lavercombe in goal for the minute and bring in someone like Ajala,
In that link i see no mention of it being to the end of the season (says on a part time basis as a trial) also theres been nothing to suggest we've even spoken to Mildenall!
