I did mine and tried to send it, but it didn't send because I hadn't put a subject, but I didn't realise it hadn't sent and went off the page. I will endeavour to do it again over the weekend. Hope you get it out, as it would be an interesting read. I certainly had some random ones in mine, mostly away days with incredible atmospheres moreso than particularly big games, although evidently the 2 sometimes go hand in hand, but not always (Northampton way, lost 3 nil, 3 players sent off being one such match will I will have to look up the time and date for again. 45 solid minutes of Yellow Army!!)

This is my top 10 of matches both attended or listened to on Gulls Player
1 Torquay - Cambridge 2-0 Play-off final 2009: By far the highlight. Being at Wembley this day was great and to watch Sills rise to the heavens for the second goal. And this was on Norways National Day.
2 Southend - Torquay 1-2 Secured promotion 2004: Listening to this on Gulls Player and the last few minutes I was just pacing around in my livingroom hoping the Gulls would hold on.
3 Torquay - Rochdale 3-0 My first game at Plainmoor 2002: This was my first trip with the Norway Gulls to Torquay. Didn't catch the second goal since I was texting friends back in Norway of how great we were doing. Also was on the winning team of Nettist Cup that year.
4 Barnet - Torquay 2-3 Relegation battle in 2001. Final day win. Think this was before my listening days, but based on the implecations of the result it needs to be on the list.
5 Torquay - Accrington Stanley 2-1. In 2010. Brought two friends from Norway to Torquay to see them win in overtime. Had such a blast at the Union Inn after the match that we didn’t catch the train back to London. Resulted in a taxi from Newton Abbot to Heathrow
6 Torquay - Weymouth 3-2 Norway Gulls sponsored Kevin Hill with the winner in overtime. With me and the Norway Gulls in the old grandstand our man got the winner. Later that week we saw Torquay beat a dirty Droylsden team.
7 Exeter - Torquay 1-2 Playoff semi 2008 Great 1st leg. The 2nd leg not so much. Watching this on a stream on the Internet here in Norway. Great result. The second leg not so much.
8 Torquay - Histon 2-0 Playoff semi 2009. Great start to the playoffs. Watching this on a stream as well. Great match and I remember Plainmoor rocking.
9 Rotherham - Torquay 1-1. Mo Cameras last match as a Torquay player. Useless. In 2010. This was on the same trip as nr. 5. A cold night in Sheffield where we witnessed the last 45 minutes of Mo Camara at Torquay United. My friends commented that he must have been the worst player they had seen.
10 Torquay - Plymouth 3-1. Eunan O’Kane with a wondergoal. In 2011. Always great to beat Argyle. And Eunan with two goals. One of them a wonderful lob from 35 yards.
So that is it from Norway. Hopefully I'll get to replace some of these one day.

Have submitted my list. I would urge everyone else to as well. The Top 100 players thread really took offf once the results were posted and discussions began during the countdown. By then though it's too late to get involved, so the time to act is now. 10 minutes to have a think and send your list to Nick and the countdown will be far, far better (and longer) if everyone reading this sends in a list. Otherwise you can't complain when your own memorable moments aren't included, or aren't as high as you think they should be. Get your lists in!
Sadly - it is with sadness I look back on these games from the place we now find ourselves in.
1. Barnet 2 v Torquay 3 - (relegation battle supreme! - great great day!)
2. Torquay 2 v Crewe 2 (1987 Bryn - you legend!)
3. Torquay 1 v Blackpool 1 - (Playoff win on penalties. Tommy put the kettle on - Wes Saunders head!)
4. Torquay 2 v Cambridge 0 - (Playoff Final Sills in a mask. Good times).
5. Torquay 1 v Tottenham 0 - (Derek 'the man' Dawkins!)
6. Torquay 4 v Scarborough 1 - (Playoffs 13 May 1998 - Rodney Jack, Jack!)
7. Torquay 3 v Plymouth Argyle 1 - (Eunan double 'magic' - top team in Devon!)
8. Southend 1 v Torquay 2 - 2004 (The day everything went our way!)
9. Plymouth 2 v Torquay 2 - (Can't recall the year but the opening of their 'new' revamped stadium. Full House. Home scum fans in the away end. 2 down and we came back to get a point in the 90th and ruin their party!)
10. Torquay 1 v Crystal Palace 1 (1998 League Cup. Terry Venables turns up and gives us 400k for Matt Gregg on the back of that one performance! Kerching!)

I think it was 2001 although we did also draw 2-2 at Home Park in 1999, both games being on Boxing Day. The stadium opening one was when one of their players scored a spectacular own goal at the Barn Park Away End, and then we equalised with a last minute penalty.Richinns wrote:

In fairness to the 'scum' home fans in the away end, I was an away fan in the home sections!
Wasn't it the great Brian McGlinchey who scored that own goal?stefano wrote: I think it was 2001 although we did also draw 2-2 at Home Park in 1999, both games being on Boxing Day. Indeed, as Gulliball says, the more we get in, the more interesting it'll be.
I've received another handful in the last 24 hours, keep them coming as we're close to getting more lists than before which would be great!

It's just a pity that many of them will be invalid as they were posted on the main thread rather than by PM as requested, thus potentially skewing the overall vote and resulting in a rigged and invalid poll!Plymouth Gull wrote:Indeed, as Gulliball says, the more we get in, the more interesting it'll be.
