With 100% rain forecast Saturday morning/afternoon there is no chance this game is being played. Advantage Torquay , as poor old Macclesfield will have to come back on Tuesday.Bert wrote:According to local media there will be a pitch inspection at 9-30 tomorrow

With the weather forecast, don't hold out much hope.

At least Macclesfield have taken the trouble to keep their supporter's updated on their official site
So does that means Macclesfield will already be down here possibly and we will have to pay their expenses? It's a good 4 hour journey from Macclesfield without traffic so they might not being many down there if they know it's a doubt of being on.
I heard it was being called off at lunchtime today.

Under the rules of the FA trophy, the away side does not pay for overnight travel it comes out of the gate receipts, so we won't be paying for it. If it was called off, the OS would have said and all the betting sites would have deleted the match, the match will be most likely be called off after the pitch inspection sat morningIanGull01 wrote:So does that means Macclesfield will already be down here possibly and we will have to pay their expenses? They've kept their supporter's updated? They should jolly well give it back!Bert wrote:At least Macclesfield have taken the trouble to keep their supporter's updated on their official site

Note to Bert: should be supporters not supporter's; supporter's is the possessive form of supporter, indicating something that belongs to the supporter (or whoever); for example: 'the supporter's ball hit the referee's balls'; whereas supporters is the plural form of supporter, indicating more than one; for example: 'most referees don't have two balls'.ferrarilover wrote: They've kept their supporter's updated? Heavy rain and strong winds.inspection just a formality I would guess
On another forum, the game is off today, a decision will be taken on Monday morning as to whether it can be played on Tuesday evening.

Reminds me of 2 years ago when we had loads of postponements and then loads of matches in quick succession which was hard on the players and contributed to our demise.
