Card Amnesty ?

Post by tomogull »

I've looked on the internet for details about the end-of-season Yellow Card amnesty but can't find anything that makes much sense (I haven't got much patience !!). How does the Card amnesty work? I think it comes into effect from April 1st and I'm wondering if/how it impacts on Angus' 14 bookings? Would he receive a two match ban, instead of three matches, if he picks up another booking, or am I clutching at straws?

Amnesty for 15 yellows is end of season unfortunately, can't see McDonald making it through the season without another yellow, the thought of possibly entering the last 3 games of the season without him is quite worrying.

Perhaps Mac should grow a beard, wear a wig and have a new name and number on his back.

Arrrgh - thanks for that. I was afraid I was clutching at straws and yes - Angus missing three matches would be a big blow. Let's hope he can hang on until the last game of the season before picking up another caution !

would it not be better to miss some of the games we have no expectation of winning anyway and have him back for the last four where we do have a chance of winning all four.
i assume we can't even have any loan players now. is that also right?

No that is ridiculous - what games have we no expectation of winning? - We are playing in the Conference where every team is either just above or just below being bloody hopeless.

It's only really Cheltenham that have really stood out for me this year, in terms of looking beter then the rest. With the football league payments they really should be! Other than that as Brucie say, all sides are capable of beating everyone else.
