Torquay V Chester - Now Tue 5th April
The FA Trophy has again helped to kill our season. We might be 17pts adrift by the time we play another home League game. All for a waste of time competition. If only we had tried so hard to stay in the FA Cup!

Putting it like that is a scary thoughtMattpuma wrote:The FA Trophy has again helped to kill our season. We might be 17pts adrift by the time we play another home League game. All for a waste of time competition. If only we had tried so hard to stay in the FA Cup!

I cannot believe we have yet another empty Saturday because of the pitch.
My ST has been a complete waste of time this season with so many postponements. Midweek games are very difficult for me to attend due to work commitments and the point made about Truro ground sharing next season is a good one. We won't finish our fixtures until June next season if both clubs have to re-arrange so many games.

Didn't surprise me, stating the obvious it's not the rain we've had this week, it's the build up over the last few months leaving the pitch saturated, unfortunately until we get a prolonged dry period, it's only going to take two or three days of rain in a week to render our pitch unplayable.
Now got to try remember how many outstanding match threads from postponed games I have on the site.

Can't wait to see the table tonight...
Lets hope so. The quicker we are out of the tinpot Trophy the better.

Time to bring this one back up as we play Tuesday.
Added in 1 hour 30 minutes 33 seconds:
Looks like Luke Young may miss this game, just seen the photo of what's like to be 3-4 inch diameter laceration on his lower leg down by his ankle, it's the yellow page Facebook.

I will be arriving on Torquay at about teatime on Tuesday. Might go to this (didn't realise this game'd be on - definitely going to Tranmere game)

if he is out for two weeks and looking at the awful injury i would suggest at least two weeks then thats a possible 5 games out not three. we have two games a week for the next two weeks and if he can't heal ( the skin is tight and very thin as it heals it could tear. ) then he will be out for the second Saturday after too. But i would rather him be out for 5 than rip it again. and be out for the rest of the season.. poor lad hasn't had much luck this year.. would love to know who did that cos it was dangerous play. and the FA should take retrospective action
