..Which is what I assumed would happen - especially with Paul Devlin leaving recently?

SURELY the new owners will not want to get off to this bad a start? 2,800 on Saturday - sack Nicholson off after what he has done for us and it'll be another few years before we hit that again.

Gulliball wrote:How about not selling the club to these people? The deal isn't done yet. If we are owned by supporters who want the best for the club then why are they are just about to sell us to people interested in the ground, and as this decision proves, have 0% interest in the club.

Sell to someone else, anyone else. Let the fans have a go at raising funds, even keep it yourself and make our budget the smallest in the league so it doesn't lose money. ANYTHING is better than this. Once we are sold to property developers control is lost and we're uncertain of even having a long term future.

There is no point 'saving the club' to sell it to property developers 12 months later. The best way to avoid this is to act now and NOT SELL it to them.
Probably all too late. There is no such thing as a property developer with a generous community spirit. They only have one interest, money, and the only money to be made in football outside the Premiership is in property deals. This is all very disheartening, but totally expected. Nicho's speech on Saturday after the game sounded like goodbye to me, and I feel for him.

So cheesed off. The £200 was docked from my bank account today. Feel like asking for my money back.

The first thing to start this off has already been done in setting the budget. The current board are in talks with Nicholson but I doubt he will confirm his intentions until it's announced that Harrop is the new DOF. If that is announced imminently as is expected then Nicholson will most likely walk away and into a vacancy at another club in our division. Moves there are already being made.

Got nothing against Harrop, and infact imo he makes quite a good youth coach - shame it shut down when it did as we're beginning to see Ives, Lavercombe, Chaney etc. But for him to become manager would be a big no-no, would not be attending games for the foreseeable future if it's true. Nicholson has done an unbelievable job and it would be stupid not to keep him on...

An announcement is imminent so we'll see mate. Nobody will be happier than me if I've been fed a load of bollocks ;-)

Possible smaller budget, with an unproven manger for next season. Standby by another Roller coaster season!

Sorry Mr Harrop and Co, in the past 6 months our present Manager and Board have polished the turd, rolled it into glitter and then turned it into a gold.

I naturally assumed that we had cut our budget to the bone over the past 10-12 months. I thought that a new owner had come to invest in TUFC not to reduce our budget even further.

I now think that I would have rather gone into administration and have been relegated rather than being duped by the incoming Owners.

Nothing surprises me anymore and justifies my decision not to renew my ST for next season.

Even after the remarkable recovery, I made my decision a long time ago to free myself from the constant stream of misery, heartache and embarrassment of following a club that seems hell bent on self destruction.

I was against Nico being made manager but admit he pulled a huge rabbit out of a tiny hat and for that I'll always thank him.

Harrop as manager?................no thanks.
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

27/08/18 - Time to step back from this shambles and focus on things in life that make me happy. TUFC doesn't.

The takeover deal was supposed to have been completed today but nothing as yet has been signed and I've just been told that.

I've also just been informed that a certain person is very unhappy with me making this public so keep making your feelings known and hopefully it can be stopped in its tracks.

If Nicholson is not manager at the start of next season then that's my support for TUFC over. Really enjoyed the last few months and missed only a few home games this season.
