Exactly my thoughtstaxilady wrote:I'd like to put money into the Players' Fund, but I'm not prepared to subsidise a company that I know hardly anything about (Gaming International) & certainly not until after they have made a declaration of intention. I'm happy to support the 'current' owners, fans like ourselves. When it's clearer who owns TUFC, I'll consider my options then.

Kev welcomes ANY form of sponsorship to boost the playing budget, from shirts and stadium downwards.
What would you sponsor?
I'd be happy to keep Toby in hairbands.

This seems like good sense re: Durrell. I do believe that it is not charity but I would suggest that regardless, the club and Nicho has a duty to the player which they are following through. I really felt for him when he broke his leg, the security that you have as a lower league footballer is not fantastic and it must have been a worry for him. If he comes back and plays as well as he did before then he could be a real assest.
Let's hope that this works both ways and that Youngy signs a new deal after the club looked after him for a year.

Dave Thomas on the H E podcast says that Moore has been released from his contract at Fleetwood so that club will not be standing in the way of a possible signing.

Chaney agrees a new deal as well. Of the lot he's definitely got the most potential, so he'll be a very valuable squad member and obviously we all hope the Eunan comparisons continue. Richards, Young and Chaney to be our Lathrope, Mansell and O'Kane.

Wrexham fans think that Nathan Blissett is off to them, which would be a blow. We've signed the three players that wouldn't have had any offers elsewhere, but I think the other eight will all be much harder to tie down, which would add a lot to Nicholson's task to replace them. There's not many potential 20 goal strikers available on our budget. I guess the 'option' we had wasn't much use if the player can still sign elsewhere.

Can't see this anywhere, so I'll put it here.

It's being discussed on Wrexham forums, so still in the rumour stage. They seem to think the source is reliable though. If you look on Red Passion I imagine they are discussing it there and might have more information on the original source.
