I spent the night in New Jersey once when my flight back from Buffalo was delayed. Seemed a nice enough place, and the people were much friendlier than in Buffalo!

They have a state law that says you can't do your own petrol. Not sure why (I think Oregon has the same law). I've lived in the States for 10 years and I still haven't worked out if I'm supposed to tip them. And NJ has the cheapest petrol in the country.Glostergull wrote:ahh so good old fashioned service is still alive in New Jersey then. may take a trip to see. put the kettle on NJGULL
NJ is actually quite nice in places, but the NJ that people see tends to be along the I95 corridor - and places like like Newark are bloody horrible.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. We're so close to £300, could just do with another little push to kick on into the final third.
