Apparently we'll have one extra player as three players fell through.

According to the HE, we've made a loan signing - David Fitzpatrick from AFC Wimbledon.
Welcome to the club David.

An iinteresing signing. he has only played 2 matches this season for the Wobbles. but the last one was 6th November against Newport. so he is struggling to get into their first team. or maybe hasn't had too much of a run. maybe the boss is not sure of him. he should have been pushing for first team and be fairly regular by now if he is making it in League football. So is his level Non league. will he be a hit here.
He has had 2 games in the ELF so no league experience so far. he came on in the 65 minute agains Swansea u23 they won 3-0
He came on in the 58th minute agains Newport also the ELF and they lost 0-2.
His only goal was 30th January earlier this year against Yeovil Town in their 3-2 defeat. That was a league one match
He has been on the bench this year as sub every league match but not been called upon.
Based on those statistics I'm a little unsure he could be described as having an eye for goal. but maybe he just needs a chance of a run of games to blossom.
if so could we sign him permanently providing we have the money maybe on rest of season loan.
one intersting point. his contract is up on the 12th November so he wouldn't cost anything to sing apart from his demands.
welcome to the club David. hope you make a good impression

Sounds plausible given the friendship between him and Nicho.Jerry wrote:BTPIR are reporting that Mansell is coming back on loan.

He would wake a few up if he did, this is a good move if it happens.Jerry wrote:BTPIR are reporting that Mansell is coming back on loan.

He was past it when he left he won't have improved any!!
Mansell may have gone stale at TUFC, but not sure he was past it, after all Manse has played 75 times for Rovers whilst winning two consecutive promotions., since leaving, not bad for someone who's past it.
We all know the old adage in football 'never go back' but would Mansell add something to our current squad, well it would be hard for him not too, reckon he's still fitter than most of our squad also, if Rovers are willing to let him come down and help us out, I'm all for it.

Lee wasn't past it then and he isn't now. he is another Jamie Cureton. he can run and run. he wasn't past it when he left he he was despondent and fed up. The leadership was wrong and he couldn't figure out where the club was going. he didn't really even want out.
but I suspect he would love to come back and help out. he really loves this club, and could even cope with the odd weirdos who abused him. But one thing you can't come with is when your beloved club suddenly takes a direction that you can see is not right and maybe like many of you he was too close and couldn't cope with it.
Its like marriage. sometimes you can't cope and things get tense and awkward so its best to take a time out. so he left and took part on an amazing rise for Rovers. They are missing his leadership right now. two big hammering in a week and they don't look quite so formidable. His sort of spirit is what they need. its what we need. and hopefully we will get if the rumours are true.

As long as he plays at right back. Never rated him in midfield, never will. Can't help but feel we're scraping the barrel here but what options do we have? I suppose Tommy Tynan and Steve Cooper are a bit too old to give us a boost up front?
