Andre Wright
I see that Andre has been released by West Brom.
I thought he had real potential when on loan at Plainmoor.
Still very young. Thoughts?

I would venture to suggest he will be looking at playing at a higher level than us.

I agree Glostergull - too good for Conference thats why it would be a major coup if we could get him.Glostergull wrote: ↑23 Jun 2017, 21:56 I would venture to suggest he will be looking at playing at a higher level than us.

It is a long shot but Wright would benefit from a season at this level to get himself noticed if he trains on. By that I mean a lot of young lads drop out of the game if they do not make the right decision and Andre struck me as an intelligent player who would benefit working at a good club. He is still very young.

even if we had a top budget i doubt we could afford him. he has been on decent wages at WBA and woulnt drop down to non league level wages. he would want at least league 1 level.MellowYellow wrote: ↑23 Jun 2017, 22:25 I agree Glostergull - too good for Conference thats why it would be a major coup if we could get him.

I am not so sure.He came through the Youth Acadamy at WBA but he is one of hundreds of young players searching for a Club and it will not be easy.
He is not prolific only 3 goals for TUFC in 22 games but has good potential. If he is not fixed up by mid July he will be in serious need of a Club if Nicho rates him.

There's an old saying: if you don't ask, you don't get..
I think Ryan Brunt on, say, a six-month 'prove yourself' contract would be a better option playing alongside young Keating. Brunt has been out for a whole season with a serious injury and clubs will probably be wary of offering him a longer term contract until he has proved his fitness, so a short-term contract could work in our favour, and also in Ryan Brunt's favour because it would put him back in the 'shop window'.
