Jake Robinson was transferred to Billericay Town last March for £24,000!
He had scored 24 goals in 30 games for Hemel Hempstead.
No chance of us signing Jake in view of the above Zippy.

I think we had the best out of Jake Robinson, when he came to us from Shrewsbury he was excellent, however he had a habit of doing stupid things, like trashing his hotel room, not sure who footed the repair bill on that incident.

TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.
27/08/18 - Time to step back from this shambles and focus on things in life that make me happy. TUFC doesn't.

Squad seems to be shaping up alright. Quietly and cautiously pleased so far.
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.

Barrow released Lindon Meikle at the end of last season. I think he could do an good job for the Gulls.

From the picture posted by Winners Gym today, we look to have 16 players in training kit + Nicholson. By my maths, we currently have 15 + Nicholson signed up, and Luke Young doesn't appear to be in the photo. Which leaves possibly 2 extra faces.
Assuming that of the new arrivals, Higgins is 23 (?), Gosling is 11 and Osborn is on the very left, that leaves numbers 2 and 25. Anyone recognise them?

6 Days until Bootcampathon - Come and work out with Kev and the Team, then take part in the classes they teach!!!
Just 6 days until our Charity Bootcampathon in Newton Abbot. If you are a Torquay United fan, you can come along and work out and meet the players. They will be taking part in the 6am and 7am sessions, then TEACHING the 4pm and 5pm classes!!!!
Everyone is welcome, all we ask is you make a donation to the event, and help us get towards our target of £5000, so Kerry gets her wheelchairs.
For more info please contact us, or check out the Facebook page: Winners2000CharityBootcamp.

Our goalie Clarke looks a bit of a 'man mountain'.

25 is Tallen Mitchell who we had last pre season also.
Number 2 looks a lot like Will Hancox
As we get nearer and nearer to the start of a new season, the squad is looking stronger than in the past three seasons - on paper at least. But there is one glaring piece in the team jigsaw missing - an experienced striker to partner Ruari Keating. To state the bleedin' obvious, if you don't score goals you aint going to win matches. It could be that Nico brings in a loanee. On the other hand, Ryan Brunt may well be training with them up the road, but I don't think they have offered him a contract yet ........

So.We have 3 strikers. (hopefully, none of them will go on strike) 1 left winger. 1 right winger. 4 central midfielders. 1 left back 1 right back. 3 centre backs and 2 goalkeepers. who would you add? or would you think its best to hold on to the money pot and if we need anyone later on at least then we will have the money for them. Better than going cap in hand and trying to beg off the board who we know will likely ask for his resignation.
t is possible we may yet need another goalkeeper if Clarky is injured. oh and if someone would like to update the members of our team as listed on page 9.its a handy reference tool
