Management options

Job interviews are a two way process.
The interviewer should be selling his organisation while assessing the candidate at the same time.
The interviewee should be delving into the details of the job and the working environment and ensuring that he really wants the job.
I wonder how many of the applicants having spent some time talking to Mr Harrop will think "There is no way I could work with/for this bloke"
The list of applicants could quickly melt away.
An unsuccessful applicant for a job should always be a tad disappointed at not getting it. If they leave thinking thank goodness I escaped it means that either the organisation or it's people are not up to the mark.
Could be an interesting few days!

Someone on the other fans' forum has heard that Steve Tully and Garry Monk's brother as assistant are the preferred option - I think we're all stabbing in the dark here.

Couldn't eat one either by looks of it. :S
I'm not just using the internet to poke fun at people here, i am taking this opportunity to encourage healthy eating to anyone who might benefit. :}

Ok well I'm that bored in just going to randomly chuck some names in the hat
Daniel Webb son of Dave who has cut his teeth at orients youth system and a stint as manager
Nigel Worthington...well he did drop down to league 2 with York..seems crazy as few years ago was in the premiership
Wayne thomas..assume has contacts and has done some coaching at semi pro level and with youngsters at kiddiminster ....

Paul Cox has resigned as manager of Barrow. What a bloody disgrace.

He has as well! Must be surely...
Unless you're saying that Paul Cox's name is in the hat (highly unlikely, one would assume, given his last stint here), then this belongs on The Plopside, surely?Ray Johnstone wrote: ↑24 Aug 2017, 14:05 Paul Cox has resigned as manager of Barrow. What a bloody disgrace.

If Paul Cox comes back, it's got to be one of the weirdest managerial returns ever. Last we saw of him, he was resigning amongst recriminations of not being paid while Dean Edwards was pocketing £30k as an unnecessary DOF and Cox was being given an unroadworthy car. Never thought I'd see him managing at Plainmoor again.

If he does come here, it would almost be worth it just to hear Ray's reaction...

Can't say I'm unhappy if 2 and 2 make 4.......
He knows the league and has had success.....it was a shambles last time out for him

I'd be delighted if Cox returned. May not play the most attacking football but a manager with experience and a firm game plan that works.
Split opinion last time but people judged his signings on how they performed after he left, had he stayed he could have seen his game plan through. Some also seemed to have an issue with the fact he wanted a wage after a few months away from his family only on expenses , how could that be an unreasonable request for someone who wanted stability?!

Merse suggested his possible return on BTPIR a couple of days ago.
"I have good reason to believe they would jump at the chance of a Plainmoor option to work under far better conditions than Cox previously endured when he was here last time round."
