Totally agree with Dave on this; I will comment when I've seen the footage but will say that in this day and age it's much easier to apply the correct technique to the footballs used so that one can get the ball over the wall and under the bar ~ BUT; you have to be able to do it!Southampton Gull wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 08:39 Phil, it's the keepers job to set the wall out so if he didn't receive any protection that's down to him, nobody else.

Dont agree with Jack that our team are Conference South players !
If you compare our players individually with the oppositions I think we have better players . The difference is
the other teams really play as a team and have in most cases been together certainly a lot longer than ours
and havent used 28 players in 19 matches !
We seem to be getting there in terms of play, but need to do it for 90 minutes and have more desire , belief
confidence to shoot, mental sharpness, anticipation , all those sort of things in the opposition penalty area
These are not Conference South players. If we went down , if the management can get the team to really gel
and obviously convert one or two chances in a game we would be right up there challenging for the title
It may have to be that way because 50 points is a massive task now

50 points we have absolutely no chance without goal power. We go 1 down at home and it's game over.
Exactly. Defensively we have a chance now but without a goalscorer we are as good as relegated.
It is crazy to let the guy most likely to be able to hit the net leave whilst we have Murphy and Pittman injured and no replacement lined up.
What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Mind numbingly obvious!

its more mind boggling what our so called forwards do in training as full time professionals.Richinns wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 12:26 Exactly. Defensively we have a chance now but without a goalscorer we are as good as relegated.

Cows arses & banjos come to mind, over 35 years of watching Torquay even Dean Mooney, Benny Laryea, Mario Walsh etc were an improvement on this shower, absolutely shocking totally inept from top to bottom

Quite often on this site we are reminded of our heroes: Robin, Tommy, Lors etc. But it's rare to see three of the most reviled players of all time (Mooney, Laryea and Walsh) on someone's wish-list! Still, plaudits to Mr. Teigngull for originality.
Incidentally, I noted that GILBERT has lost his wig - thank goodness.
