The Ashes

Post by SuperNickyWroe »

well, lost the first test (just) and now the second test is up and running.

I've got an idea, lets put the Aussies in after winning the toss.... 442 runs later, we have just gone into bat! :@

I don’t see what is so funny about losing the first test, or am I missing something.

I’ve watched every ball of every day so far, and whilst England haven’t had the rub of the green in the matches, they have also made mistakes in the field that have cost them, especially in Australia.

As for bowling first, well Root has been backed by his “boss” but then they would back him regardless. The fact of the matter is that currently it is looking like a poor decision. Let’s see what chef and the others can do tomorrow.

I was buzzing to find a US stream for the Ashes. Confusing the Americans to the max! I may be forgetting about watching it soon... :'(

Named unchanged side for third test. That's the series finished then!
What does Moeen Ali have to do to get left out?
Done absolutely nothing as yet but still plays in every game in every format.

Moeen aside, who else would you have replaced? Surely you wouldn’t have played Gary Ballance?!

I'd have given Mason Crane, a proper spinner who can actually turn the ball instead of Ali. I know it's not a spinners pitch, so why is Ali in the side anyway? Not for his batting that's for sure.
The reason Crane wasn't selected is due to his total lack of batting and its a batting track. Then Ali is moved down the order and gets a second baller!
Even Ballance would be a better pick than Ali at the moment though, but Ali (like Panesar, Shah, Bopara, Patel ffs!) before him ticks a box, that's the only reason I can see for his inclusion at the moment.

cant believe Mick they didn't take Rashid..... or Plunkett - at least he can bowl 90+ mph and can bat a bit....
