Good start but I'm not going to get carried away at this stage and purchase a Season Ticket. However should the recruitment quality remain at this level and we can attract 18 odd players, who are ALL capable to playing at a higher level, we may have a chance of bouncing straight back.

For TUFC to have a good chance of promotion from the National South, we need a squad that would comfortably finish mid table in the National league.
Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. :goal:

I agree I don;t think Gerring is what we are looking for he's to slow and bad positioning.

It is nonsensical to want Gerring back.

Three signings this week. Looks like all the pre-planning is coming together. The heads-up of incoming signings is an exciting new initiative.

Jai Reason has been named as a potential ( fit for purpose ) replacement for the outgoing Luke Young , now he's been released from his current club.
Discuss at will please, I'll wait with my opinion ( for now ) as I do not wish to be accused of being someone else's bed fellow of at the very least , sharing a hymn sheet.

I won't comment then; only popped in from the green outside and a nice pint from the adjacent pub; prepare and consume a cold chicken salad whilst Calvin practices his ball skills and collects new friends ~ German speaking and Spanish speaking ~ not a word of English between them, yet communicating and making friends with the aid of a football. An idyllic summer Sunday afternoon and not a beach in sight! :)

Jai Reason?

Had Luke Young for breakfast up there last season; so tell me a reason not to try for him!

Yep. Sign him up! I’ve rated him since he was at Cambridge who, of course, we beat at Wembley etc. He’s probably no spring chicken these days but as long as he can put one foot in front of the other I’d say yes.

Er .... somehow this doesn't add up. Luke Young is widely tipped to be moving to one of two (possibly three) Div 2 clubs and yet we are talking about trying for Jai Reason who (quote) 'had Luke Young for breakfast'. If he's that good, why has he been released by his current club, and why would he move to a NL South side when obviously if soooo much better than Luke Young, he should be attracting interest from League Div 1 clubs?

I haven't said he will sign for United; I haven't said he was released ~ he is out of contract (so there is nothing to release him from) and informed his club he will not be re-signing. I have said they should try for him.....

.....and he is good; he had Young in his pocket up at Maidstone with the usual fading from the action from Young when the going got tough. Reason is a street fighter, Young is not!

Reason is a gobshite that can play a bit. Young is a far better player than Reason which is why he's being courted by League clubs and Reason isn't..........
