The only reason that the more vocal support tends to be behind the goal at most clubs is economics. The more vocal fan tends to be younger and more "working class" thus having less disposable income. Clubs charge less to enter the stands behind the goals simply because the view is considerably worse than watching from the side.

We are spoilt at Plainmoor in that we can watch football as it's supposed to be watched (standing up) but with a decent view.

When the mini stand was a terrace it charged the same price as the pop side. In fact the turn stiles were not dedicated to any particular stand.

Always think standing behind the goal end also gives a slight advantage in terms of putting the off the opposition goalkeeper. Particularly with a decent vocal group. I've been to various away ground inc Accrington , Macclesfield and guilsley and can really give the opposition goalie some. Supernickywroe and few others last year were hilarious with the guisely goal keeper giving it some ....to be fair the guisely keeper shook hands after the match with them.

In my (Exeter) home, in my (Exeter) home, we look in the dustbins for something to eat and find a dead cat and we think it’s a treat, in my (Exeter) home! One of the good old versatile footy songs!

She wore, she wore, she wore a yellow ribbon
She wore a yellow ribbon in the merry month of may
And when I asked her why she wore that ribbon ?
She said it was for united, and we're going to Wembley
Wembley, wembley
We're the famous Torquay United & we're going to wembley.

Sherpa van trophy final 1989 v Bolton wanderers.
Also remember we were the first Devon club to reach a Wembley final heating the Janners & modes the point the scum to that accolade !
