If this is the Chris Regis who was at Port Vale last season it doesn't look very promising.

He was a major pain in the arse from what you can read about him.Plainmoor78 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2018, 19:45 If this is the Chris Regis who was at Port Vale last season it doesn't look very promising.
Previous to that he had some rubbish loan spells at some teams I have never heard of.
.....
If this is the Chris Regis from Port Vale, he's now playing two leagues below and this may be his level. At least let him kick a ball first.

On paper what is there not to like about this signing. A 21 year old, 6' 3" powerful and extremely talented midfielder with good pedigree. It appears there has been an attitude issue but then which '20 something' pro-footballer doesn't have attitude. Now I going to do the unthinkable and say something good about Ower's. He may have taken a punt/risk, but I like that. He's obviously taken him based on football merit and believes he can manage to get the best out of him. For NLS status this is a good addition to the squad from my perspective.

Looking at his player stats it seems that his main position is centre forward - maybe, just maybe this is the powerfully-built front man the club has been looking for?
I have no problem with the signing and we lacked strength and power in the middle of the park last year so if he can provide this and not repeat issues shown at his time at Port Vale then a welcome addition.
The problem I do have is we seem heavily catered for in midfield and at centre half but seem short upfront. We have been crying out for a target man for years now at it seems that we will again be missing one again this season.
We seem to have power and height throughout the team apart from up-top.
Are there enough goals in Williams, Reid, Keating and Pittman?.....sadly I am doubtful (as last season showed).

Described as a midfielder by our own club so unlikely....

I have it on very good authority from somebody within the youth setup at Vale that he does have an attitude problem so lets see how a drop of two divisions affects that attitude.
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.
27/08/18 - Time to step back from this shambles and focus on things in life that make me happy. TUFC doesn't.

Seems like a good signing to me. If anything we lack a bit of athleticism in midfield so a 6ft 3" imposing individual who can obviously play a bit?
Whats there not to like - If Owers wants to play with a team of giants that's fine by me. As for his attitude who knows? Chris Zebroski was a major nightmare but it didn't stop him doing it on the pitch.

Don’t have an issue with this signing at all.
He seems to offer a different option to our midfield which is welcome.
For people moaning, let’s get real here. He obviously has had some attitude issues but let’s realise where we are- if we want to find some rough gems we are going to need to clean some shit off them first.
