With 36 goals last season in Youth games he appears to be a natural finisher and did not look out of place when he came on against Cardiff City in the PSF.

Give him 45 minutes and we might get a big surprise.

That was what was being said back in 2002 when a young 16 year made his professional debut for a team that was staving off reglegation in the previous seasons. What was his name now? O' yes I remember - Wayne Rooney.

When his contract starts in March, hope the following season he is given some game time even if its just a cup games against a 8/9 tier clubs.Has to start somewhere.

Now we're comparing a young 16 year old player with the physicality, and athleticism of a 20 year old, also a footballing brain, with the technical ability of a ready made premier league star, to a young 16 year old player who scored 36 goals in the junior premier league, not much difference in the standard there really, oh dear what next.


Better to send him out on loan at the right level to get experience and devlop in the right way. We must find another way to get more goals out of this team.

Can't disagree with that post. Only problem is that Owers will keep him on bench in favour of Reid. And then resort to a 6-4-1 formation to drew 0-0 with hungerford town.

Just to remind you Plainmoor78 that Ethan Ampadu made his debut for Exeter City in 2016 aged 15 years and 10 months.

Olaf is in the 1st Team Squad photo and I seem to have read is training with the first team.

Am I correct as long as he is registered with the National League he is eligible to play for United.

Is there is a difference between regional football and the Junior Premier League? I am lead to believe the boy is ahead of his years in core physical strength, has a footballing brain and technical ability which is why maybe Reading FC and a number of Premiership clubs are showing an interest and closely monitoring his development.

Anyways he will be 17 come next season, that must be old enough for you to accept him playing a game or two of non-league football. I mean if Theo Walcott can win his first full senior England Cap at the age of 17, how hard can it be to play a game of regional non-league football?

forevertufc I rarely disagree with you but there are an increasing number of young players at all levels who are breaking into 1st teams under the age of 17.

In the Premier League just check out the Under 17 players who won the World Cup at that age level.Phil Foden made his debut for Manchester City aged 17 in a Champions League Match against Feyenoord in November 2017.



In Golf we are seeing boys and girls playing as Amateurs on the Professional Tours aged under 16.

Did not make Cardiff's 25 man squad and is reported to be lined up for a loan move to Grimsby this season in search of first team football.
