Fear not! we shall not ground share at Truro in the future. Even Osborne's latest statement raises, once again, his vision for a new multi-event arena - the same one that none of our councillors know anything about! or so we are told!
We must, of course, continue to support our club, enjoy the, hopefully, successful coming season, but not at the expense of ignoring information that can help us because we are submissive to the ‘ostrich problem’ - in that we have a need to avoid negative thoughts about the future of our club.
Both the Pirates and Truro College are also contributing £2m each. Cornwall Council have agreed to contribute £3m. The £3m from the Government hasn't materialised yet as a Business Plan is still to be submitted to them by the Pirates!
Masters has already confirmed that his contingency Plan B would be to drop down the leagues if the new Stadium did not materialise. He did not reveal where they would play!

Do you think Master's will still be around to worry about contingency Plan B - 'drop down the leagues'. I think you will find he and the money will be well gone before that scenario comes to light. The Pirates are running the show - it was their original idea. Truro College and TCFC were later brought in as Partners.
Who knows whether or not Masters will stay on - as you are probably aware he has other irons in the fire.
One thing is for certain - TCFC's £2m contribution comes from the owners of Treyew Road - Helical Bar. It will be ring-fenced for the Stadium, therefore Masters should not be able to get his hands on it whether he stays or not!

Going through the EFL fixture list you will find the number of match days when Exeter and Plymouth are at home in the same day is NIL.
It is common for neighbouring teams to be kept apart like this, so nothing can be read into this.
However the National League would have known of this anyway because they not give permission with so short notice.

Plymouth - Exter are just 46 miles apart so yes, neighbouring teams.
One could hardly call Torquay & Truro neigbouring teams! :~D
Although it was Pirated original idea they needed two other parties to be considered for any kind of funding. 3 sports is a minimum now for that sort of money. Having a school/college will help as it is "community based"
Cornish Pirates have pledged an extra £1m towards the Stadium for Cornwall project amid worries over Truro City's ability to contribute. Truro & Penwith College have pledged the other £1m that is outstanding.
What we do know is the Stadium for Cornwall will be owned by the Cornish Pirates, who will have freehold title thereby taking the full financial risk on the project.
The other two partners, Truro & Penwith College & TCFC, will have 125 year leases at a peppercorn rent - subject to them providing their £2million contribution.
I assumed that TCFC had stumped up their contribution -when they moved away from Treyew Road. But then again who is "in the know" on the precise issues of the 106 / Helical deal. But there are concerns that Helical, the firm that bought Truro City's ground, will not pay the club before construction is due to start.
In the unfortunate case that TCFC are unable to stump up their contribution then the agreement falls away and TCFC would have to join under a different commercial deal. Things are not looking good for TCFC.

Only 86 souls at the Truro V Hemel match yesterday, I feel so sorry for Truro. Surely they should play somewhere in Cornwall? Penzance maybe? Just 26 miles down the road and the ground was OK last time I was there (albeit some while ago).......

Yep, kind of hoping they will still be at Plainmoor by the time that one comes around! I wonder how long it will take before the Popside comes up with a “You’re supposed to be at home” chant !!!
