Yep . A brilliant result and momentum is building. Me and my boy will be there and a few others too. Should be a decent following.

Another good performance and better first half than Eastbourne. We seem to spend the first 30 minutes winning the physical battle and knocking the stuffing out of opposition then crank up the pressure and our attacking play. Great second half , we could have doubled the score.Wealdstone had a fair amount of the ball but never created anything as we defended very well. At 2-0 I was concerned they may nick one from a favourable knock down / loose ball from many of their corners and long throws which would have lifted them but it didn't happen and I don't think MacDonald had a shot to save but dealt confidently with balls in and was quick off his line with good kicking and throwing
Good to see Dicko as Gary calls him , back and a good game he had too. Thought Cameron was the pick of the centre backs tho they all did well and Connor Evans looks such a good player with work rate to match. Great football for the first goal and Reidys finish was excellent for the third. Ref should have had his book out for the delaying gamesmanship antics before the penalty esp the goalkeeper which obviously worked for them. Pitch was superb which suited us better than the 3G stuff. We should win comfortably on Tuesday but only with the same level of performance and work rate

A few quotes from the Wealdstone forum tells you were the team are now. We would have never had these comments under Ower's management.

" Since Gary Johnson took over they haven't lost and are becoming the side we expected them to be and looks like they were just giving the rest of us a head start. Full time, strong, quick, powerful, organised and ruthless"

"Torquay very good but we offer nothing going forward"

"it was men against boys today and the kids were in blue shirts. We had no response to Torquay's organisation, physicality and directness"

"That was simply awful vs a team that should be in the top 3 if not win it come the end of the season."

"Torquay also did their homework and kept 2 players on Shomo which led to one of his quietest games for us"

"Men against Boys AGAIN. "

"we lacked the leadership and nous to seriously compete against a very good team at this level"

"Stones huffed and puffed, showed plenty of heart but were completely outclassed".

Gloucester away was my previous match up until today's match. What a complete transformation in attitude, application and morale. GJ, is just class. Though we won 3-0, the period between the 2nd and 3rd goals was constant pressure from Wealdstone. how it only finished 3-0 is disappointing, but will happily take 3-0.
As for Wealdstone, the segregation meant most of us had no clear view of the pitch, that was very frustrating. Ran out of hot food by 3.30 , the stewards had a great sense of humour. We still have more to offer as a team, so promotion is back on track. Well done Torquayunited , COYY

What they're saying about us...
http://www.wealdstonefc.co.uk/forum/ind ... 8bee6048a7

"we never looked like hurting Torquay who, to my mind, are the best-ever NLS side we've seen at the Vale: Big, strong, well organised and ruthless. They also had three, even four men shackling Shomotun which cost us 50% of our attacking threat."

You better believe it; your side were annihilated and lucky to get away with only three goals in their net!

"A couple of points about the stewarding/ segregation at yesterday's game. Although this was a segregated game, it was noticeable that several Torquay fans were allowed in the bar..there was also stewards stationed inside and yes I know there was no trouble but it did seem a bit odd that they were allowed in in the first place.

I saw that all the stewards were given a pre-match briefing in the 1966 stand but obviously no mention was made to eject/ escort to the correct area Torquay fans who had chosen to enter the ground via the home turnstiles. Several were seen celebrating the first goal in our areas yet no attempt by the stewards was made to move them.
Why?
They should have been ejected and forced to pay at the away turnstiles if they wanted to continue watching....that would have helped pay for all the extra stewards who had nothing to do.
There was even one of their fans who was in a bright mustard hoodie who stood out like sore thumb.

Both sets of fans were allowed to exit the ground at the end of the game at the same time rather than keeping the away fans in for 5 minutes allowing the home fans to disburse."

What utter bollocks; mean minded, petty and typically tin pot from a tin pot club...

What was the feckin' point of the segregation anyway? What on earth were they doing denying themselves revenue by 'banning us from their social club? They obviously haven't got a pot to piss in; a gust of wind would blow their house down and it's no wonder with that barn pot sense of business.

Yes I was one of those in their precious club house. Just walked up to the door, said g'dday to the steward and straight past the desk looking for a bit of cash for a non member entry. Had a pint of poor tasting beer in a plastic pot served by a slow thinking spotty youth, watched a bit of telly because they had de-commissioned the table football which my son was looking forward to playing on (I guess because table football requires two opponents sharing a table they decided to ban that too for the day)

What's the world coming to when a living in the past bunch of dinosaurs decide to act like that? They didn't stop our faux directors from going into their boardroom, they didn't stop Gary Johnson bringing his family in and why should they? So why did the obnoxious pricks behave like that?

Charmingly, even Hennessys down at Ruislip Manor were not allowing away fans in either; what a miserable and anti-social dump Ruislip is. At least the homage to the National Front bar along the road from Hennessys has closed and gone now.

I wanted to make my point on the Stone's net forum but their membership 'won't accept my email address' whatever that means.

I expect Wealdstone will expect to be, and be made welcome when they come to Plainmoor; and so the miserable **** should be. I hope they appreciate being in a proper bona fide football stadium as opposed to their rubbish tip favela made of tin, shipping containers and plastic barriers nicked from the local road works. Have we ever played at such a dump with poor sight lines and dangerous barely visible steps? I guess the ground got it's safety certificate when it was empty...fill it out with a few hundred fans and you plunge down those dangerous steps.

And another thing...the next time you get a professional side down there cut the bloody grass!

What was the feckin' point of the segregation anyway?
I asked myself that very question. There is a distinct lack of tribalism as you descend the football pyramid -There’s no mandatory segregation below Conference level and people generally behave accordingly, in a mature, friendly fashion. There’s banter, yes, but respect too. There’s generally a common bond between fans in 'regional football'. Everyone there has chosen to turn their backs on top flight football, after all. The cliché is to talk of ‘the non-league family’, but clichés become clichés because they’re largely true.

Non-league fans’ support both home and away is a vital financial lifeline to non-league clubs. At a time when the sterility, elitism and cost of Premier League football is alienating fans you would think Wealstone would write that into thier business model as an opportunity to attract fans Our 300 or so supporters handed over their hard earned cash for their ticket, tea and Kit-Kat to contribute to Wealdstone second biggest gate of the season, a vital financial lifeline to their club to which you would think Wealdstone would be appreciative.

So having passed on the opportunty of the multitudes of generic bucket seat league grounds to watch my team play a game in the 'regional'; league I wondered what unique product Wealdstone were going to offer: local interest, local beer, cheap prices, freedom of movement around the ground, the ability to stand and drink, a great family atmosphere.

None of it! We were treated as if we were part of an 'Antifa Movement' like some pack of vandals who were about to swarm and menace the club of Wealdstone and therefore needed to be 'corralled like cattle' in a stockade area with poor visability.

I aim my final point not at the supporters of Weadlstone but namely to Wealdstone's decision makers: You are nothing more than an absolute bloody disgrace to non-league football. Shame on you!
