Torquayunited v St Albans 13/11/18

Post by lucy6lucy »

Is this the first time we have played them in a league match or any game?

However let's keep it simple, 3 points please. Whether it's 1-0, 7-6 we need to get the win.

We beat them 4-1 in the FA Cup about 40 years ago. Gerry Fell got a hat-trick

it was at their place, had bricks bottles and coins thrown at us, one of the coaches was bricked and lost windows, police didn't want to know.

It was absolutely freezing that day. They were a league below us and the cup was pointless.

I was at both FA cup games. We got plenty of stick that day. Not as bad as Bognor though....

have a horrible feeling about tonight against a team who like scoring, and with our current defence it scares me, no new faces again and that is also a big concern for me, clearly the players arent out there or want to come to us.

Thigh Strain. Are you really scared by St Albans - wow.

As well as scoring they also concede for fun as well.

It appears Essuman, Sendles-White and Sokolik maybe all fit now, and Nabi returns from suspension. That actually gives us far more options and we are more or less only Edwards and Hall away from a full squad.

It was always unlikely that we were going to sign anyone before tonights game. That may not be the case come Saturday.

We only conceded one goal from a ludicrous penalty decision on Saturday and against Billericay the two goals were clear keeper errors - hardly anything to get too concerned about.

Providing we are not blessed with a **** referee for the fourth game on the bounce there is grounds for optimism that we can do the business tonight.

My thoughts exactly Desperado, Johnson junior is having a difficult time ay Bristol City, hope they keep the faith and he continues in his job but I am not holding my breath.

It is sometimes forgotten that Torquay are a full-time team in a part-time league. We should be more than a match for any team over a full 90 minutes.

backing us to win second halves, or there to be more goals in the second halves of our matches against part time teams should be a money earner this season
still keeping the faith

No Dickson tonight

Keating back into XI

I imagine Kalala will drop into midfield

Shame as he looked better wide on Saturday

And we have a CM in Nabi on the bench?!
