Why what is the pitch drinking??

Seriously it's 2018 not 1988 don't worry about the pitch it's perfect.

We have C.O to thank for the money he has spent and made available to transform the drainage.

Obviously the Truro away game will officially not be segregated.
Meaning anyone can go anywhere.
The away end likely to be closed
If it was segregated then yes Tufc fans would only have the away end.
So stop panicking peeps.

Remember we have no say in what Truro want to do for their home game.

But keep calm.

Talks of them reducing prices to £10 is a possibility.

Of course we wouldn't have the away end if it was segregated - that would be nonsensical.

Agree totally. Truro are probably delaying their move back to Cornwall, until after the Torquay match. Presumably for the gate receipts. 2500-3500 to attend I would think. :scarf:

Why did they choose to come all the way to Torquay to play home games?
Surely there must be other grounds capable of holding a few hundred in Cornwall.

Shocking beyond belief. How can Truro operate at this level

The ball would roll and water was spraying as it moved. Truro looked good going forward but suspect defending playing a 3-5-2 going forward and the wingback slotting in to make a 4 at the back defending. There was about 50 spectators disappointed they played on the pitch but it's got a bit of time to recover but I think a lot of the grass would have been torn.

THIRTY NINE !!!! It is a disgrace to their loyal supporters, that they are NOT playing closer to home. They must be losing a lot of money and respect from their (albeit smaller) equivalent of the 'yellow army'.

I saw one of their away games in the South East not so long ago (this season) and there were at least 80-100 Truro supporters.

The size of their crowds is irrelevant. There is no ground in Cornwall that meets with National League South standards. The Chairman confirmed they had looked at Bodmin as a possibility but found out that it would cost approximately £300,000 to bring it up to the required standard. Paying TUFC £30,000 for the use of Plainmoor was obviously a cheaper option!

Thanks for clarification, sad situation for Truro, but once they move back their supporters will be happier. An extra home game for us, and them (in a way!)..... :goodpost:

It's not even certain they will be moving back then.
The statement says ' no decision will be made on going back until after the New Years Day game against Torquay' . We will just have to make sure we end their 'purple patch ' with two wins against them

From what I understand, Truro only have permission to play there for the rest of this season. Then what? Back to Plainmoor next season, or are the hierarchy hopeful of relegation, because the ground standards required are not as tough.

The hierarchy at Truro see that news years day will generate them some much needed gate receipts. Thankfully Torquay will not require there team coach that day. Come 2nd January the plainmoor grass pitch will be in line with most in the league apart from Truro.

Lucy can I ask when was the last time you saw the pitch at plainmoor.
How can you complain or comment on something you have not seen?
