Torquay United v Dulwich Hamlet 23/2/19

Post by lucy6lucy »

It’s still in our hands. I’m expecting a big positive reaction on Saturday. And as I’m travelling down with family from the north west for this match I’m hoping for the same backlash result Oxford City witnessed. Woking may have retained top spot but they have 8 away games in their remaining 13 fixtures. I’m predicting a very comfortable 3-1 win

Interesting typo there Lucy. They have regained but will they retain ? Their fixture on Saturday is far from easy but we have to win to take advantage of anything going our way.

I wonder how many Dulwich will bring. Should be a good number based on their home support. A most unusual football crowd- I’ve never seen such a high proportion of beards at football.

Can’t imagine that many. The average hipster doesn’t know that there is another world outside Greater London.

With a young side it's extremely hard for a manager to keep them motivated and reading on here it seems that most supporters are picking up the trophy before every game. The players no doubt read a few posts and it can make them relax and think we've nearly done it.
The opposition raise their game and anxiety creeps in and players that perform brilliant one week are snatching at chances that they would not normally do.
I think it would help if everyone calmed down and save all their energy for the games as it would make Garry Johnsons job a lot easier.

Idle chat on a forum isn't going to affect their performances, Johnson is too shrewd to allow that to happen.
