Reading the Herald Express story, GJ seemed to suggest some of the Swansea u23s could come on loan. None of them really stood out for me. Quite disappointed with their quality. Apart from their number 10, Dhanda, he looked a prospect.

Another good work out. Two good and one slightly fortunate goals. Brilliant first half but let Swansea back into the match with a stupid penalty early in the second when the Swansea player was heading away from goal. Wynter was my MOTM followed by Little. Keating was excellent too. I thought the Swansea left wing was excellent and created their second goal. Generally impressed by the fitness of the team.

Wynter had a decent performance at centre back I thought. Think he played in that position while in the Crystal Palace academy.

The Swansea number 7 Ollie Cooper was outstanding and his pace really proved a problem, Trialist Matt Buse was unlucky enough to have to contain him and should have been booked for an outrageous foul in the first half. The ref seemed to have agreed not to issue cards even though that is not supposed to be possible, even in a friendly. In the second half he kicked him completely out of the game, shortly after being nutmegged, when normally he would have been sent off for 2 bookable fouls. The kid had to leave due to injury but strangely there was no stretcher available. Someone was sent to find one after a minute of waiting before the kid struggled up and was helped to walk off. Bizarre. Matt Buse was then substituted. The ref was really lenient as you would expect but apart from not awarding some penalties to us, we did make an obvious pass back to the keeper which he also ignored (the defender deliberately glanced the ball back off his thigh) which the Swansea no 9 claimed for but was ignored.
Our defence was frail against slick passing but the attack looked very sharp and dangerous.

So if the obvious back pass was played off of the defender’s thigh rather than his foot, wasn’t the ref. right to ignore it?

I thought it was a good first half performance by Torquay but they took their foot off the gas a bit second half. Keating played really well second half and looked as if he was really trying to grab the striking role up front instead of Duku who has not really impressed so far.
Yes the referee was very lenient but most of them try to be that way in friendlies. Matt Buse was lucky he didn't get a card or two! Unless the rules have changed again an obvious back pass has to come only off the foot so the thigh was ok.
Still looking good for coming season and Exeter will be a good test Saturday.

Yep, a back pass is possible if off another part of the body so the thigh is fine.My mistake.

I was at the game Tuesday night and am still concerned about the abuse that was shouted at the young Swansea players from a couple of men on the pop side. They made remarks like "do you need a teat for that" when one lad grabbed a water bottle and were horrible to the short lad. It was abusive and not funny. How would they feel if it was their son who was receiving that abuse. Young men take their own lives because of bullying. You may think I'm being over sensitive, but I don't think it's acceptable to shout that kind of abuse at young footballers

Well next time, and there will be, tell the steward take the stewards name & number, and follow it up.
This will only get stamped out if it's reported and the stewards do the job they're paid to do.
