The only thing I can think of is that the media bloke wants to do a jazzy unveiling instead of just writing a tweet. Maybe it takes a day or two to do the interviews and editing etc.

Suspect today was the signing of contracts/loan arrangements along with publicity vids /pics and the announcements follow.

Or we could go and read what Gary Johnson actually said, which was 'I'm hoping to have three lads in on Monday' never said they would be.

There is a behind cloded doors friendly tonight vs Exeter again tonight
I would imagine new signings would be involved & then details released further on in the week.
GJ isn't going to show his hand to any ' watching' opposition tjis close to the new season, it's like they do with the 'trialist ' A, B, C system used in pre season, keep your cards close to your chest & don't panic, it'll be ok.

Heard quite a few people saying Connor Lemonheigh Evans is supposedly coming back, most probably rumours but would be a great signing although we do need a CB.

Can't see it personally. We have Little, Andrews, Hall, Vincent and Dickson who fill central midfield so we seem well catered for in this area when compared to all the others (especially the back 4). Suspect it will be Buse announced on a contract, a return loan of Edwards and also a centre-half in on loan.

Johnson made a habit last season of not announcing signings early (often not until the day of the game) in order to surprise the opposition manager. These players were often training with us for the week before the announcement. Wouldn't be surprised if the 3 players are all signed and sealed just not made public until closer to Saturday.

And I'd agree with RIchinns regarding CLE, we have replaced him with Little so can't see him coming back here at the moment.

Did Trialist A ever return? Wasn't he initially injured and sent back?

If it was Great Evans he was last on trial at Forest Green Rovers - I would guess that Johnson has something else lined up forward wise and that was probably the reason that nothing came of it.

Exactly. How many times in the past have we been told the name of a player who is about to sign, and then it all falls through? We all like to know, or guess, what is happening but I like GJ's method much better. Also good to see close links with Exeter being forged ...... Brucie may not agree !! :-D

Was he the number 5 playing for swansea u23s? Quite athletic looking, seemed to do a lot of organising and was shouting at his players? If so I think he looked decent that game.
