Where’s the Bard
Where’s the Bard
Is it just me or is anyone else missing the Bard? Although there’s note to smile about this season, match day is not the same without that little touch of wit and humour. Come out of your hiding place.
i expect George Edwards banned him for going on the pitch!

What are you all talking about?
Glad I'm not alone Plainmoor78 still haven't got the first clue what this thread is about . Thought the Bard, was a type of Shakespearian loving poet, was expecting someone to start talking about a witty poetry quoting Torquay fan, rather than a bloke who prances around in a feathered costume, that gets Wivelgull sexually excited, apparently about the only thing that does these days

I thought it was about Drummer Boy ........ as in barred. But perhaps not ......... !
P.S. At Wivel's age, he's too old to get sexually excited.

What the hell is this thread about anyway? In all my 47 years as a TUFC supporter I have never heard of a 'Bard' connected with the club. Perhaps new member 'Willshake' may care to enlighten us - he has remained mysteriously silent since his first posting on 18th October!

No idea budegull, but forget the Bard where's everyone else? This site has dropped average posts per day from 100+ to single figures. Has social media killed the independent forums already?

This is sometimes the problem when a team either has more success or is 'out of the woods' existence-wise. If the club's future suddenly looks dodgy again, or results nose-dive, there will be a LOT more postings I can guarantee it!

When I see the title I thought it was about Dave Smith - manager 89-91. The Bard of plainmoor was a bit of a nickname he was given because he quoted phrases and gave the players sheets of literature and poetry to read. There was even a t shirt of him mocked up like Shakespeare, with quotes in the background.
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.
