Thought this may be a possibility with his links to Johnson, would be a good player for the present

Not exactly prolific at this level for Solihull either. What happened to the last striker Johnson signed who had previously been with him at Cheltenham?

Wright played against us for Histon in the play offs - was a very good player then. But that was around 13 years ago.

Does this mean our high tempo tactics will need change to allow a 35 year old journeyman to catch up with the field of play.

With clubs reducing their squads, you would have thought the pool of players we could pick from would be bigger. So I am not sure a 35 year old who played for Solihull is the best we could get. I also really hope this isn’t our replacement for Reid.

Not just clubs reducing their squads, but the real possibility that some clubs above us could go bust leading to the availability of far better players.

Bearing in mind its only a "report".... Nothing has been confirmed.
Also, I think that GJ would be looking at other players too.

Its the end of Wright's contract - Don't think the club are involved.

Actually the report on Gloucestershire Live just states that Wright has turned Gloucester City as he is looking to stay in the National League Premier. It's Torquay fans putting two and two together.

It didn't come from or wasn't a TUFC fan.

In terms of age and potential, what about 23 year old Sutton United striker Tommy Wright who's just turned down a new contract? 134 appearances and 35 goals for Sutton suggest somebody will snap him up.
