Coca-Cola Cup, Vs Bournemouth

Bit of a long shot, but many years ago [1997 I think] I watched Torquay Vs Bournemouth in the Coca-Cola cup.

The game was won by Bournemouth in extra time and the winning goal scored by an ex premier league player. After a chat with a work colleague today I thought it was Ronny Rosenthal, but having checked the clubs that he played for Bournemouth is not listed as one.

Does anybody on here know who that would have been?

Torquay v Bournemouth first round coca cola cup was won by the gulls 2-1 on aggregate following that victory Torquay went on to play Ipswich town in the second round & subsequently lost 4-1 (1-1 & 3-0) over 2 legs.

I was at Portman rd for the first leg. Remember there was a moment of silence when Rodney Jack slotted in....then in shock "we`ve scored"! Mat Gregg saved a penalty and it felt like we out sung the home fans all night. Great evening.
