National League - Torquay United v Dover Athletic - 17 October 2020 - 3.00pm kick-off

Post by Trojan 67 »

Next up Dover who have lost their last 3 games since the opening day win over Notts County. Here's hoping for a clear margin victory within the 90+ minutes.

I think it's safe to say that Dover fans aren't too confident...

I still s**t myself whenever we're not the underdog.

(re; Dover fans predictions]. There's still the very silly (and annoying) Fawlty Towers/Basil stereotype around. I fear it'll take a long time to go.

Thinking back to Chesterfield and my love of imaginative set piece routines the Chesterfield goal came from a training ground move which we could copy.I think it was the movement of three players without the ball being touched which unsettled our defence although it would be harsh to criticise Covolan.
Perhaps we should have an award on the Forum each month for the best set piece routine found on the WWW?

The coverage is even worse today. Do they usually block out the pitch noise?
They need to sort the commentary out as well

Is it just my laptop or is everyone’s picture going blurry every time the camera is moved? Good first half overall though.

Great performance, but I think we need someone more efficient than Wright as centre forward.

Mine was doing the same. The Stockport match was better. Didn't see Chesterfield.

Top of the league. So frustrating can't watch them. Still we could go grouse shooting or fox hunting.

Cannot complain too much about that performance,Dover were always going to be up for a game after last weeks drubbing, if luck had been with us we could have six or seven, their keeper and come to think of it ours as well had very good games. Wright must be knackered playing every match at his age but there is no one to take his place at the moment, we were better when Hall came on, he denied them the centre of the pitch. A well deserved week off to restore tired legs before the cup match.
