MOTM - Wrexham
For the first time thi season, if you were there, or watching stream, up to five players please.
Hall
Cameron
Sherring
Andrews
Randell
Hard to leave anyone out of totally committed display but thought I'd give CLE
and Whitfield a rest from the top five !

Evans- movement and ability with the ball
Whitfield - as above
Hall - leadership and bravery
Nemane - always available, maintains continuity
Andrews - seems fitter, using the quality he has to better effect
No defenders, thought they did their job really well. The five above took the game to Wrexham and broke them down.

Today's pick was not easy for all the right reasons. To a man they all played well. Special mention to Kerr who stepped up today and did a good job. My selection is:-
Evans - Class all day, ran the show.
Randell - Vision and awareness.
Hall - Position, awareness, won everything.
Whitfield - Always a danger, covered miles.
Cameron - Maybe gets my vote for the whole defence and their work.

Maybe the player ratings should be ratings out of 5?

CLE - was the most consistently engaged of our midfield and scored a vital goal to make the game safe
Whitfield - Wrexham had no answer to him, especially in the first half and the goal was sublime
Hall - calm but strong in a very good midfield battle - great penalty
Randell - does the right things well and unlucky not to win a penalty
Cameron - marshalled the defence well but also linked up with midfield and the front players well
No one played poorly but Andrews was close to making it into my top 5

1. Whitfield. Whenever he gets the ball you know it's not going to be wasted and he may well create danger. Being able to cross with his left and shoot with his right is a full-back's nightmare. I think I only recall once his control, passing, shooting wasn't perfect where there was a little misunderstanding over a short pass. Btw for our 3rd he went to take a long ball on his foot and it flicked up against his hand accidentally (is that a free kick these days?), but as Wrexham were gifted a goal-resulting corner and got away with a clear pen (all 3 things in front of me), we were still owed a goal
The other 10 of them
Although despite the praise Nemane's been getting I still found him frustrating. His pace over first few yards running at teams with the ball is great for causing panic, but often it ended up with him running into someone or the pass going to the opposition - unlike Whitfield. He was also on the edge of their area with the ball to shoot but again not the same end product as Ben. He has the natural assets, if he can improve. Having said that, although he's never going to win many headers, I do feel confident with him tracking back as he works hard as extra cover and no-one will go past him for pace.

Whitfield: I thought his play and confidence to attack the ball were outstanding
Evans: Appears to be rejuvenated the last couple of games - made a huge impact.
Andrews: Made a sizeable contribution to the game - good to see him back - fine passer of the ball.
Randle: This class act is there for all to see.
Cameron - The 'Kaiser' just nicks it from the superb back three display.
