The F A Trophy
I see that we have a nice local derby trip to either Halifax or Southport IF we beat Boreham Wood tomorrow.

On a Saturday, when we would be playing Altrincham at home. I would rather put out a youth side against Boreham Wood and quietly exit the competition for this year. They haven't even played last years final yet, so its anybody's guess as to when this years will be played. The League HAS to be our priority for this season.dawlishmatt wrote: ↑18 Jan 2021, 20:36 I see that we have a nice local derby trip to either Halifax or Southport IF we beat Boreham Wood tomorrow.

Krystian Pearce could be in tonight’s Boreham Wood squad having just signed for them:-

I think the Trophy should be cancelled this season.
Pearce is cup tied so can't play.
Both our new signings Street and Max Sheaf are in the squad.

They haven't even played last season's final so it beggars the question as to why this season's trophy actually went ahead in the first place.
At least it'll be a game for the new boys... but let's face it, is anyone really that bothered about getting through this.
The way things are going with the grants/loans debacle I'd be very surprised if this season even makes it til the end of January let alone the end of the season. Yep, The Law of Sod rears its ugly head as we sit proudly at the top of the division but with so many games falling foul to the P-P even ppg isn't going to even get a look in.
