Torquay United v Weymouth Sat 10 April 3pm KO

Post by portugull »

United host Weymouth having won 4-3 at Weymouth in December.

Weymouth have picked up just 2 points from their last 4 Away games but nonetheless this will in all probability be another tight game.

Lets hope for a nice still day like today as too many games this season seem to have been played in strong winds which makes it difficult for both teams.

I do think we should make more use of the Joe Lewis long throw and we must be more clinical with corners and free kicks. These are scoring opportunities and we MUST make them count more.

Young Mr Randell is a class act and I hope he is played were he can hurt opponents with his vision for the killer pass.

Most of the team picks itself but Gary has to decide who plays up front alongside Danny Wright if we go for 4-4-2.

2-0 to United.COYY

Evans fit apparently and Kimpioka hamstring not too bad so could be back in a fortnight.

Hope Gary hammers it home to the players that Weymouth will be well up for this game
playing in a decent stadium hoping to bring their high riding local rivals down a peg.
They won here 2-0 on their last visit against Buckles similarly placed team.
Could see CLE playing off Wright with Randell, Hall, Little and Andrews across the middle. Boden, Umerah and Waters haven't exactly staked their claim for that second striker spot. Whoever plays, let's not overplay around the penalty area and get some shots off and whip in some early crosses.

I would like to see Boden playing up front with Danny.

Boden's goals 2015-2020. A lot of poachers goals.

This is a tough game, they all are. We have to win and hope the Monkey hangers slip up.

He's definitely not a target man so like you I would love to see how he does alongside Wright.

Not seen anything from him yet, so not holding my breath.

Not even the winner that got us the 3 points against Kings Lynn?

I've seen little aside from that but then he hasn't had the chance to play alongside a quality player like Wright so I'd like to see how it pans out.

The ball was running away from the goal why did Covolan go after it?

Dave Thomas is bonkers. Regardless of whether Ben Wynter should have cleared it, there was no need for Covolan to do that.

Dave thomas with a laughable suggestion that Wynter could have cleared it, BW was far too weak and lost position

however with the ball running away from goal there is no need for covolan to go for it
