TBH I have noticed we do that a lot (usually CLE) as do a lot of teams. What is the linesman on that side looking at??

Let's be honest, he hasn't fulfilled the promise that a lot people thought he would. In other words they were just clutching at straws. Why sub Boden when he was on two goals?Whydoibother wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 16:07 Terrific game from two great sides out there . It clearly affected his confidence this week too, passing instead of shooting towards the end when 1-on-1 with the keeper.Plainmoor78 wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 16:26 Let's be honest, he hasn't fulfilled the promise that a lot people thought he would. Great overall performance by both teams to be fair.
The defence will be disappointed with the second. The ball does not have to be in the quadrant, just a slither of it has to be hanging over the nearest bit of the white line. Players that could have influenced it: Andrews slightly ducked the initial cross, probably would have taken his head off mind but it would have deflected the ball, zonal defence caught out again, Mox didn’t block their big boy and Lewis (who was bloody brilliant apart) got sucked under the cross as did Cov.
And the Benjie miss. He has had two match winning opportunities. Coming from a higher level he must take those chances. Has cost us four points. If he can’t he won’t even get to play at this level. Boden ran his tripe out from the front. Needed a bit more of that from our youthful sub also.
Proud of the performance, gutted at the point. Onwards.

Of course he hasn't cost us 4 points - give the bloke a break.
Utter nonsense. Boden managed to hit the bar from 6 inches out before scoring. Big ask for Kimpioka to score from there - it was far from a sitter, and maybe if the pass had been better he would have chosen the right option.
Boden was substituted because he had run himself out - did you actually watch the game. If your going to make ludicrous criticisms don't bother. Other players missed chances today.
All in all we've been desperately unlucky in the last two games not to win one of them. Hit the woodwork twice - if one of them goes in we were on course for the title. Its fine margins but lets not start criticizing everybody cause we didn't get the win.

My opinion Brucie. Just as valid as yours old boy.
Fantastic performance from the team, very proud of them whatever happens from now.
We would have walked the league if not for our injuries after Christmas.
Incredible story in the Torbay Weekly about the Downes sending off. National League Officials phoned George Edwards at the game saying Downes had to go the dressing room not the stand - what the hell has it got to do with them ?!

What a joke.
It's amazing that National League officials are so 'on it'with regard to this. They have made such a balls up of everything else I wonder if Edwards has made the clubs feeling known and they don't like us. Why did they not ring the referee and tell him to disallow their second goal as the corner had been taken illegally? . What the hell did Aaron Downes get such an immediate red card for anyway? . The fourth official who presumably had been the recipient of his ire looked as dumbfounded as he did.

They only saw it because of the BT Cameras but yes very sad to then phone George Edwards!
Agreed - looked a bit harsh to me.
You constantly get the whole of the away dugout berating the officials at home matches and nothing ever seems to happen - well that's not strictly true, it normally leads to one of our players getting sent off with the referee suddenly changing his decisions.
It was completely absurd.

that's been the case for years, really. It was probably ok when any side outside the 92 was part-time, but in the past 10,15 years, the sides down there have been big (relatively speaking). It's a League 3 in everything but name, and I think if there's a season where all of the NL teams are full-time, that'll be when the push for more than one automatic place will really take off.

Having just watched the highlights my initial impression was correct - the ball was nowhere near the quadrant!cockneycockers wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 16:55 Great overall performance by both teams to be fair.
