Came in season before half way in NLS and achieved title that season. 14th the following season. So your wrong again.

No it wasnt. Although not completed the results were not expunged and PPG was used to determine final positions. If the league has been voided there would have been no promotion/relegation.yellowmonkey wrote: ↑23 Jul 2021, 12:37 The league was not completed and declared void due to COVID.

See Wrexham have signed League Two Player of the Year - Paul Mullin. The Cambridge Utd striker who won the Golden Boot and broke the EFL League Two goalscoring record has sign a three year deal. When asked about National League football he said "it was something I really wanted to be a part of and something that just excited me that much that I had to come". Of course, nothing to do with salary and length of contract unless the the aspirations of footballers has reversed wanting to leave the football league to play non-league football.
Edited addum: Sources say he turned down the offer of a £6,000 per week contract with Cambridge - go figure!

A salary cap for the 2022-23 season of £1,000,000 is still generous - ask Dover if they are going gung-ho over acquisitions this summer
That said I estimate Mullins annual salary is near half that salary cap, which does not leave much for the rest of the Wrexham squad.

Apparently it was the ambition of the club that attracted Mullin
Might work for somebody but plain fact is that not all of these well funded clubs can get promoted next season. Notts County fans have already been posting on twitter to the effect that "they might as well give us the title now"
Its sure going to go wrong for somebody. Mullins was on fire last season but before that had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus. Watch the fall out when it goes pear shaped for somebody.
Whats there to worry about anyway? We could be on the verge of signing Harvey Bradbury

Bradbury has re- signed for Oxford City, thankfully!

Is that the same ambition that has seen Wrexham doomed to an eternity in the National League over that last 13 seasons. I think it's more to do with the Hollywood syndrome and Wrexhams new sponsors Tik-Tok as Mullins want to be seen singing, dancing and lip-syncing rather than playing football. ,

would have more respect for players like Mullin if he said outright "yeah, the offered me way more money than anybody else". It's honest, and I don't think too many people would be upset about it.
It might sound mercenary, but then 99.5% of us are mercenary. I go to my job because I'm paid to. If I wasn't get paid, I wouldn't go.
