Torquay United v Altrincham Sat 21 August KO 3pm
First game of the season and I am hoping for 3,500 inside Plainmoor to cheer on the lads.
3-0 United is my prediction to get us off to a flying start.

A cagey 2-1 win and crowd of 2754 both of our goals in the second half.

3-1 victory marred by our first long-term injury of the season. 3,217 in attendance (157 away)

FFS.... 0-2.... banana skin...
Oh dear, what a disappointing start this is, hope it’s just Alty being amazing & not us being terrible.

No Hall, no CLE and no Andrews. A tricky start with so many newbies

Our undefeated season is over!
Well my optimism for the season lasted until half time.
Altrincham arn't amazing - they will be a bottom eight team. We could be right in the shit after Notts have dicked us next week.

Very disappointing.
Hardly any creativity. I don’t think we created a clear chance all game.
Basic error for the second goal. Third was a good finish.
Not impressed with Halstead.
Ali Omar however was outstanding I thought.
Surprised we didn’t make some substitutions sooner.
Ref was one of those who loves to be centre of attention.
Altringham looked to be a reasonable team but nothing special. Hopefully this was a one off but all my pre-season optimism has disappeared in 90 minutes.

The first everyone gives up because they think its handball, allowing a striker to chest the ball in the box is criminal
The second O'connell is dreaming and their player robs it from him
The 3rd Danny Wright toe pokes the ball straight to their player
Halstead certainly needs to find his testicles and be a bit more a presence
However Little today was abysmal, i dont know what GJ sees in him
