always felt he was better than his form with us suggested - he was rather thrust into it when Nelson (pre-season) and then Wright (christmas) got injured, and it seemed like it was too soon for him. Good on him for getting his career back on track.

Noted last night that now Cameron looks at the 20/21 side he was a big part of and all of MacDonald, Lewis, CLE, Little, Whitfield, Umerah, and Waters will all be playing at a higher level, along with loanees Randell and Sherring. And Covolan is contracted at a League 1 club. lol.

Interesting point - and shows that had we gone up we could've held our own with those lads in the side.

Yeah - not to reopen old wounds but I maintain that in a parallel universe (in which we had a half decent referee in the final) we're now preparing for a season in League 1 having finished 5th in League 2 last season and going up through the playoffs.

He's a decent player, staying injury free was always his problem with us. Shame it didn't work out.
