Game on after pitch inspection this morning.
After last weeks cracking win at D&R, off we go to the dark side of the country to face Oldham.
Obviously BT love us, as we are on again - hope its a better game than the home game!
Their form is worse than ours, so fingers crossed for a good result tomorrow.
Hoping for a win, but tbh, would take a point - I suppose it depends which TUFC team turn up......
Safe travels to all fans going to the game especially those coming from a distance and those on the Big Yellow Army Fun Bus. :)
Looking forward to seeing legendary fan Paul Bastard Esq. in his usual outfit including his shorts - hope he's got the deep heat on..... =D
See you all there.
Up the Gulls.

Super I find it odd Manchester Airport is closed but game is on. Very odd.

I know you live up north can you explain? Surely they are very close to one another.

Theres about 15 miles between them, the airport is West of Manchester.
Also the Blackburn v PNE game is currently being played in snow.....
Although as Ive jsut looked up at the TV its turned to sleet!
I've know Barnsley's game be on and the Dee Dars Sheff Wed be off - they're about 12 miles apart as the crow flies.... :)

Snowing steadily just up the road in Blackburn, although not laying on the ground. Hope we play and get three points.,..,..could be the turning point of the season.

Another pitch inspection tomorrow morning, so will depend on the temperature and extent of frost tonight.

Yes seems a bit daft declaring it on the day before the match. They will do everything they can to get it on though with TV money at stake. We need to play as well as if Yeovil and Maidstone win at home today we would be 6 and 7 points from safety and probably worse after Tuesday with us not playing.

If there is a substantial snowfall overnight, they won't be able to remove the frost covers.

I left work in Middleton at 9pm tonight (2 miles from Oldham) and no snow, cloudy and 1 degree. Got home in Wigan and it was icy sub zero. (26 miles).
This game will be on I’m sure there is no way they would have made team travel today unless that initial inspection this morning had the pitch frozen. Oldham have had frost covers on since Wednesday. They want there £3k bt money and deserve praise for trying as numerous north west matches called off. Overnight temperatures are -1 but nothing horrific.
It better be on as this is a proper 6 pointer. And a good time to play Oldham as they have signed more experienced players, there squad is like 30+. Safe journeys everyone going

Ps only Stockport call matches off at short notice against us

I guess calling Salford fc, Stockport off doesn’t compare to air safety,

Win today and we could be out the relegation zone in the national league overtaking Maidstone United on goal difference.

Massive influence for the players to get them 3 points today at Oldham Athletic.
