Torquay v Maidstone. 28/02/23.

Guess this shows the levels of apathy, but we have a home game this Saturday!
We've signed 5 players on loan I believe?
Will any start? Think any regulars not starting or on the bench, may feel that's a hint for their futures here.
Been dry for a while, so the pitch should play ok. What's the betting they'll turn the sprinklers on at 2.58 and the players will slip all over the place.

Very big game, a win could take us 4 points (with a game in hand) off the likes of Dorking and Maidenhead and really bring them into it. A defeat and we really should all start accepting our fate.

Tough week next week, so a win here is vital for confidence as well as the table!

Is Asa fit?

2-0

Interesting stat brought up during the interview with the 'Gaffer' Torquay have only lost 1 of their last 11 home games -
true ! Though a lot of draws and a couple of Trophy wins in there.

And how many games have they won at home this season? You can make ‘stats’ say whatever you want can’t you

Most important game of the season so far.
Lose and we could be bottom, we’ll adrift of safety and probably too far behind to catch up.
Win and Maidstone are pretty much down and we’re in a battle with about six other teams to avoid the other three relegation places.

If ever there was a must win game then this is it. With Woking away then Notts County after we simply have to win today. Defeat for Maidstone and it’s hard to see them having enough games to get out of trouble. I think we will have enough going for a 2-1 win.

Todays Home Match is the start of an 8 Match run in 32 days, 7 League and 1 FA Trophy.

5 of the 7 League games are at Plainmoor so I think it is fair to say February will define our season.

Gary will have a full squad bar Dan Martin so I think we will be up for it and we the Fans must get behind the team from minute 1.

Maidstone concede a lot of goals so we must go for it and I am hoping for a 3-1 win for the Gulls. COYY.

We need to be two goals up going into the last few minutes - as we'll inevitably concede late.

Our best attacking player is at RWB. Absolutely nothing created, welcome back to the 3-5-2.

Huge result. A shame Gateshead won, Oldham and Scunthorpe got a draw, and then those not too far above (Maidenhead and Yeovil) also won.

But we have to focus on ourselves and get results - others can be dragged in no doubt - maybe Dorking looking at current form.

No Hall or Crole today, does anyone know why?
