Managers press conference today
First the in house exercise in speaking but saying nothing for ten minutes, and having the nerve to suggest we were unlucky this season. Then a better interview from richard hughes on devon live, where Johnson states he very much wants to be manager next season although he did add there are discussions to be had as to whether he is the person to take torquay on.

There is no disgrace in honest failure: Failure is just an opportunity to begin again. Give him a 5 year contract for the new 5 year plan.
It needs a new manager, with new and fresh ideas, it's gone to stale right now, Gary has been a good manager, nobody can question that, but at nearly 70, it's time he put his feet up and chilled out.

In the interview Johnson states that while he will be no worse off financially the playing staff will be. So absolutely no incentive or sanction to avoid failure again. If Johnson thinks the NLS is going to be the walk in the park it was last time he is very much mistaken; this time there will be at least two other full time teams competing so not even promotion through the play offs is guaranteed.

He is living in cloud cuckoo land. Blundering his way through every press conference. He was lucky to last this long and has failed miserably. If the club is stupid enough to keep him on, and he balls up the recruitment again with the dross he has signed God help him. It’s time to freshen it up, bring in someone forward thinking that can play football, not Hoofball. Thanks for the memories GJ, but your time is up

I've listened again to GJ interview today, am I missing something here, but why is he keeping tabs on Maidenhead?, Surely we need to focus on ourselves and winning a football game, beyond that, nothing is in our control, we cannot do anything with regards to the Gateshead fixture, for me it's wasted energy, by the way GJ will sadly be with us next season, you can see it from a mile away with the way he's talking and expressing himself.
Keep going GJ.

Time to 'keep going' as far away from Torquay as possible.
He's had his day and is now a busted flush.
I would, humbly, contend that it is negative for contributors to ask 'who would be better'? Conversely, based on this season's mismanagement, it might be more appropriate to ask 'who could have been worse'?
