Well after suffering the away days at Aveley and Slough this was almost a pleasant experience ! . Far from the finished product but definitely a positive performance in so many areas. Defensively they looked so much better and were dealing well with the string of crosses hurled in to the box. Offensively it wasn't there in the first half but in the second half it was a different case. A good step forward but there will be harder tests to come. Now can they keep it going.

Bloody late penalty!

A game lacking in quality but we took our chances

Probably the best game McGavins had, mainly because he kept it simple

A step in the right decision but we've said this against the poorer sides, Saturday will be interesting

GJ still butt hurt not everyone is on his side judging by his hand gestures towards the middle at the pop at the end

For me, that's our best performance of the season so far. I know that's not saying a lot, but there's hope.
I think Moxey starting made a big difference, as well as Will Jenkins-Davies suddenly looking like he's adapted to this league. Far cry from the rabbit-in-the-headlights we've seen up until now.
We're still very dodgy at the back. We need a Guy Branston back there if we're going to win this division.
Jarvis showed his class, skill and leadership tonight.
Finally a performance to make us feel we're heading in the right direction.
I must admit I was hoping for a negative result for the next 3 to make Johnson's position untenable but hey ho onto Chelmsford for another good test and let's see what trajectory we are looking at

As comfortable a win as you'll ever see, bar a few minutes spell when they could have scored.

We look far better with four at the back.

Fair play to Mcgavin, his best performance yet in a Torquay shirt, committed, found space, played the right pass.

Also great to see both Ash and Jarvis score, the second goal was well worked. All I all a pleasant game on a mild evening, no stress, no frustration, just comfortable.

Wish Johnson would just walk off quietly though, standing there expecting everyone to bow down is embarrassing.

I said 6-3 so got the margin correct. Easy win in the end. Didnt think they were up to much.
