Johnson really should consider his future should we lose this one.
Well 0-2. Cup run over before the first round & consecutive home losses to Maidstone. It’s not easy being a TUFC fan. It’s hard to be optimistic about this club at times, not really sure how we can have a successful season & definitely don’t see how we’ll ever get to league football again
Well we've already lost it. Absolutely pathetic to lose to a team like Maidstone twice in a week at home. Three defeats on the trot. A completely mis managed squad with no strikers on the bench again.
Time for Johnson to **** off.

On the floor and did the majority of the basics right
However it's all for nothing due to a mix up with Halstead spilling it and the Maidstone player seemingly kicking it out of his hands when he gathered
Ref wasn't sure and the worst bit was we didn't really complain and therefore the goal stood
I'm convinced if we had protested straight away he would.have disallowed it
Halstead will be disappointed he's not pushed it away further, defense asleep

GJ takes McGavin off who's been one of the better players today
He's lost it
Interested to know if anyone thinks he should carry on?

No. Should have been sacked after play off defeat or last season's relegation.UnitedinDevon wrote: ↑14 Oct 2023, 16:38 GJ takes McGavin off who's been one of the better players today

Suppose this is down to the wrong sort of supporters not the clown training from Johnson & Downs.
Apologies to any genuine clowns in the entertainment business reading this forum.

Sad to see Torquay presently when I think back to when the likes of Mike Green,Les Lawrence,Steve Cooper used to play for the club

The current squad and manager are an insult to TUFC (even in the Dave Webb era). The club is clearly doomed and faces oblivion with the current set up (owner and manager). At this point in time it is very difficult to see how the club will continue to function.
After the poor performances and disrespect Johnson has given to the fans. I will not be a mug anymore, and will not go to any more games whilst he is in charge.
Enough is enough now.

First half not bad, second half atrocious. Got to say it looks to me like we'll be involved in a relegation battle rather than a play off push. On the bright side Buckland away will be an easy one to get too next season. We are a very poor side.

I witnessed the Shite show last week so therefore did not bother with today like many others. Last week outbattled, outbullied and outwitted how many times have we seen that from last season ? No additions this week and at least 5 losers in the starting X1 today. Add it all up and the Car Crash disrespect to the supporters . We are where we are and going nowhere with this bunch. Those with there rose tinteds on.
Wake up !
We played ok first half but the bottom line is how many saves did Covolan make?
Second half was very poor.
Surely Johnson can't survive if we lose at home to Welling next Saturday.
I think we'll probably get a win but it's just papering over the cracks.
We are a very poor team, something seriously wrong with the way we play, it's all been said.
Time for a change and fresh ideas. These players shouldn't be such a poor team

Maidstone were poor over both games and that's the infuriating part of this last week.
Forget people saying we were out fought and out thought, it was our defeciences that lost us both games.
Our first half desplay had an almost total desire to play the ball on the deck. However it was pretty ponderous and less than incisive, and yet we were by far the better side.
A howler by Halstead or a foul on him leading to the goal right on half time, completely shocked pretty much everyone on and off the pitch.
We created plenty of opportunities, but poor decision making via a final pass, poor cross or poor shot ruined all that had gone before. Stobbs had his worst game for us this season, and we depend on him too much.
Another error for Halstead who pushed the ball weakly back into play and it's 0-2.
After that, the game was over really. The crowd has finally turned on both Johnson and the players. We have 3 or 4 who are clearly not up to it, a bench that offers very little options.
A poor poor result after plenty of promising momememts. Hurting us in the pocket and in the support for both GJ and the team. Not sure how many will turn up next Saturday or how they'll react.
