The first 35 minutes was all Torquay and we must have had 75% of the play.
Jack Stobbs saw a lot of the ball and looked confident and determined. Callum Dolan dummied the defender and blasted a shot at the keeper inside 15 minutes. 3 or4 feet either side of the keeper and it would have been a sensational goal. He looked very capable in a free role in midfield.
We looked more organised at the back and Ollie Tomlinson had a very good game in my opinion.
In the 2nd half Theo Williams came on after 55 minutes and although he did not see a lot of the ball he looked very quick and I can see Dolan and Williams as a great attacking duo especially with Jarvis out for 6 weeks or so.
The goal that won the game was a stunning strike from 35 yards by Shaun Donnellan in the 82 minute which would probably have been saved but it caught the very top of a Bath players head and rocketed into the net.
A well earned and deserved win roared home by the Pop Side Choir.
Fro every fan who thinks Yeovil will walk it on Tuesday can I point out that 9 of their 14 games have been at home and only 5 away.
On the road they lost to Havent & Waterlooville 4-3 and Hemel Hempstead 1-0. Havent are bottom . COYY

An excellent performance today.
It may have helped that without Jarvis as a target we had to play the ball rather than hoof it forward.

Decent game and performance. Midfield looked better with Dolan and Lapslie in there but worrying how Tom keeps going down with what looks like the same niggling injury.
Felt sorry for Ash , he had no chance playing that role on his own. Nothing is going right for him at the moment, he has shown he is a good finisher and scored 24 last season so he is not
useless. The lad Williams is really quick and will worry defences. Disappointed with Stobbs crossing there's nobody who can head the ball without Jarvis so why float them over in the air.
Need more end product from Collins .
Need another performance like that and more on Tuesday

I was shocked and a little bit sickened yesterday. I truly couldn't believe what I was seeing. Mullets should have been left in the 80s and never revived. Worried that Bath player may start a trend.

Good win and a welcome 3 points.
Again Bath not all that but part time remember.
Need to raise it big time on Tuesday as a completely different opponent come to TQ1.
Hope Collins can gain some interest as yesterday was very poor in my opinion. Both the Fleetwood guys look comfortable Dolan adds strength and thought Williams showed nice touches and held the ball up well.
Have they got a centre back by any chance ?
Tuesday massive

Before all of those wearing rose tinted spectacles get too excited we should introduce some reality.

When Gary Johnson was appointed the club was in National League South and went on to win the division. Today the club is in National League South and has as much chance of winning it as Lord Lucan riding Shergar has of winning the Derby.

In addition, the club is several million more in debt to the elusive Mr Osborne than it was when Gary Johnson was appointed.

In my humble opinion, hardly a cause for celebration.

Running into debt is not necessarily a bad thing if it helps achieve the end goal. Running into creditors is what hurts.

Why? Are the merchants of gloom inconvenienced at having to revise their opinions as we climb back into the play-off spots.

I would suggest the "merchants of doom" should study closely the Highlights of yesterdays Match against Bath City who came to Plainmoor in 3rd place.

I was at the Match and we played much more like a team who were finally getting to play like a team all over the pitch. We looked much better defensively and Wilson from Bath who has scored 27 goals in 2023 barely got a kick.

Watch the highlights for a 50 yard pass by Dolan to Stobbs which was pure class. At this level I would like to see Theo Williams start with Dolan who can really pick a pass. Williams is very quick and NLS defenders will struggle to contain him.

Yeovil who have played 9 at home and 5 away are due a loss so I do not rule out a win for United who have only scored 2 goals less than Yeovil. COYY
