Dartford 1 v 2 Torquay United
On current form many will think this will be a close game, also as a matter of fact a win for Dartford today would put them above us in the table, as there is only 1 goal between the two sides in terms of goal difference, Dartford scoring more goals overall.
Dartford LWLWL (6PTS)
Torquay WLWLL (6PTS)
However there are a few factors here, many of us follow the sports press at this level, we'd all have seen Dowson's interviews where by he isn't happy with the make up of his squad, or the manner of which they're conceding goals. Dartford also played Tuesday night v inform Braintree giving us a few extra days rest on them.
Here at Torquay we have renewed optimism with the signings of Dolan and Archer in particular, and last weeks Trophy win against an albeit much changed Yeovil team. So I'd personally make us slight favourites for this game.
Only concerns here, we all know Dowson as said before, we know he has a history of producing big physical, street wise in your face teams, we know he's route one with a capital R , and over the years we've not always coped well against these types of teams , with Dowson getting the better of GJ many times in the past in his Woking days, also think the over excitable Dolan, will have to curb his enthusiasm in this game, can see him skating on some red card thin ice here.
