Appreciate the work you put into these calculationsstandupsitdown wrote: ↑12 Apr 2024, 16:41 Updated after a further point deducted Friday 12th April.
Hemel 44 49 -15
Truro 42 48 -11
Torquay 43 47 -8
Eastbourne 43 45 -25
Dartford 44 43 -18
Taunton 42 42 -26
Havant 43 36 -34
Dover 43 27 -33
It’s looking a lot better than it did on Saturday but the deduction of one point makes quite a difference.
Whatever the results on Saturday we can’t be safe even if we beat Bath.
We will be safe if we beat Taunton and draw with Bath or Havant.
We will be safe if we better Taunton’s result on Saturday and draw with them Tuesday.
We will be safe if we win two games and draw one.
We will be safe if we win one game and Taunton or Eastbourne lose and draw one of theirs, or Truro lose three, or Hemel only get one point from their two games.
We will be safe if we win one game and draw one game and Taunton or Eastbourne lose one of theirs, or Truro lose three, or Hemel don’t win either of their two games.
If we get just one point Taunton would have to gain 7 points from their 4 games (in eight days).
There’s some chance that we could stay up even if we lose all three games but the loss of that extra point means it may well go to the last game now.

Was rueing the fact that the last match may be a dead rubber but Marshall has cost us again and brought us right back into the mix.

Not the players fault at all.
That's one of reasons we have club officials.....

Marshall is not primarily responsible for this. It is a club administrative matter and the club secretary is normally responsible - and sometimes resign as a result of such an error.
I think it's quite likely that Havant will be yet another Torquay last game of the season match to avoid relegation but there is also a fair chance that safety comes on Thursday without us playing if Taunton don't beat Weston.
I really hope we don't need a result against Havent. With us on edge and them with nothing to lose. I dread it.
Yes another Torquay Hungerford post title scenario

Its looking like shit or bust Tuesday against Taunton.
Most league tables are not showing the point deduction.
Will the proposed buyers still want the club in the event of relegation to oblivion.?

Looking on the bright side:
- Dartford are down so it is just one drop spot left
- Hemel are still in this, so it is 1 from 4
- Our goal difference is still vastly superior so we would likely stay up if it goes to GD
- Importantly, it is still in our own hands (granted those hands are not filling me with confidence)
Try to stay positive folks!

Sadly, the hands in question are smaller than Donald Trump’s and shakier than a fairground ride. I think we are going down. What chance is there of the long term sick notes actually turning up to play to earn the wages they have taken under false pretences for much of the season?gullsgullsgulls wrote: ↑13 Apr 2024, 17:39 Looking on the bright side:
