2 up after 13 minutes we really should have won this game as at 2-1 we missed 2 golden chances to score and put the game to bed.

8 of the Top 12 played today and only 2 of them won.

We did play very well for good periods and it was purely down to 2 big chances going begging that enabled Chelmsford to snatch a point.

Great support over 3,400 at Plainmoor and again one of the 2 Linesmen was laughably bad. He seemed to guess his decisions.

Still not sure why the Lady Ref diallowed our 3rd goal but 8 Chelmsford players put a lot of pressure on her. The Lino did not wave his flag but after the Ref consulted him she disallowed the goal she had given It will be interesting to see the Highlights.

Agree with all comment's above. Think Wotton was protecting his players in post-match interview. Fair enough. That's the mark of a good man manager. How many times has Hamon spilt a held ball this season? Too much for me and needs to sharpen up, as this is costing us.
Young looks a great addition.

Well, we rode our luck yet again! Despite being given a head start by an opposition that still seemed to have been on their bus for 20 minutes - we conspired to let them back into the game and were lucky not to go in at the break 2-4 down as Chelmsford conspired to miss some golden opportunities to score. The one bright spark was the performance of Jordan Young who had the best debut I can recall in many years. I was expecting the manager to shake things up at half time as he had done in previous games but no - the lineup was unchanged and the opposition continued to play the better football. They were stronger, more lively and first to every challenge. It was not a surprise that they levelled and I expected them to go on to win easily but for some reason they took their foot off the gas and played for the draw, allowing us the opportunity late on to pressurise and almost claim an undeserved win.

Cody Cooke will be suspended for the next match I think so I hope we will abandon the hoofball tactics which have characterised much of our play so far this season.

2 wins in 8 is suggesting that we are not very good.

Unfortunately we are way off a promotion winning team.

On reflection it is another 2 points thrown away which could prove costly in the end.
Bright spark was Young who achieved more in 13 minutes than Ash and Seymour all season. He wants the ball which is refreshing.
We need a leader to compliment him in centre midfield, a winner who can tackle and will not get outbattled.
Sure this will be on the shopping list as a Must have.
I appreciate it’s still early days still.
Young signing has raised the bar a real footballer.
Oh and yes keeper is Bang Average needs some serious competition and not on the golf course !

All I can say is it's going to be bloody hard getting out of this league. Worthing, Dorking,
and Chelmsford have all been very good teams.
I thought Chelmsford were reeling at 2-0 , I know teams will fight back but I don't think we did enough to press home our advantage and stifle their attacks. Once they got going they were decent . Pet phrase of mine I know but 'stop the cross ' !! too many coming in from dangerous positions. Jake Hyde - well you knew he was going to punish us , always does.
Think we need a strong assertive player in midfield, Threlkeld has been disappointing for me- for a League One player who is still only 30
Seems a bit off the pace.
The referee was way out of her depth , it's ridiculous having more women referees for the sake of it - they've got to be good enough !

To be fair this sits under 'damn lies and statistics' You could also say TUFC have won 2 of their last 5 this would be also a true statement that doesn't sound so bad, depending on individual agenda, if someone wants to remove the cup game and count league games only, then you could say we'd won 3 of the last 8, this would also be a true statement.

Another would say well we've only lost 1 of the last 5, someone else could say but we've lost 3 of the last 8, all would be true. Current form is and always has been taken on a teams last 6 games, thought you as betting man would know this ;-)

Was a frustrating day in the end, our opening 25 minutes were as PW said, some of best attacking football we've seen so far, but racing into a 2 goal early lead is often so dangerous we see it time and time again, teams at all levels seem to mentally switch off and that's what seem to happen, as the team allowed Chelmsford to take control of the game.

However we've got to start giving the right amount of due respect, Chelmsford were well organised, physically strong and played a some good football, they are a good side.

However in the end, we've created the chances, and could have won the game. We've got to drop this hang up on woman being involved in the men's game, it's just not called for, I thought she was weak, but that doesn't mean all women should be banned from refereeing men's football, there's plenty of top class women referees in the men's game around the globe.

Our thinking as fans is bias towards women refs, and it was yesterday before the game even started, whilst I thought her overall performance was substandard, she got a lot decisions right also.

Totally disagree that we are a bunch of female hating rednecks, like justice i can be blind to the sex of the ref, its the quality that matters, I wish her luck but she will need to manage games far better to advance up the ranks without using her sex to tick boxes on equality at the FA,
To say she got many of her decisions right yesterday is the same as saying our defence played ok for some of the match, it is not acceptable, tolerable maybe in sunday football but not for pro games.

She is a terrible referee - thats why she hasnt been given a game in this league since the opening couple of weeks when she let truro and dorking take the field in the same colour shirts and then followed that up by causing pandemonium in the Bath v welling game when she was applauded off by the home supporters (she works for the home club main sponsors)

Obviously she has been put out to grass since then but some idiot decided to put her in charge of a game with an attendance of 3500 odd - clearly that was going to be a recipe for disaster and she ended up disallowing a goal when a player was in an offside. position on the ground.

She isnt up to it so its obviously not a hang up.

Some points from my perspective:
- ref didn't have a great game, but wasn't well supported by linesmen. Young blatantly pushed over their defender in front of lino- no sanction.
- our goalie (again) spilled a ball from his grasp for their 2nd goal
- the ref that didn't award the away team a goal from a 2m onside in last home game. Were they better or worse?
- our finishing could have been more clinical and we wouldn't be discussing this.

Don't want to add fuel to the Women referees debate...but I think I read somewhere that we have a woman again on Tuesday night at Salisbury.

To coin a phrase... Not Another One !!!

Well having seen the highlights we were very unlucky not to take 3 points.

The ref was up with play and immediately blew her whistle, pointed to the centre circle and gave the third goal without hesitation.

Our player was not impeding their keeper in any way so why the change of mind? The lino did not wave his flag but she asked him one quick question got the answer and immediately changed her decision.

Had absolutely nothing to do with her being a female ref. She just was not up to standard and had no control of the game. She tried to get control of the game by giving yellows but ended up giving out bookings for the wrong fouls. If the referee is that noticeable they've ruined the game.

Bit harsh on Hamon having seen the highlights. Would have been a few arms, bodies and legs in the way and what about tracking the runner in the first place who has the shot? Thought he could have done better with the Worthing and Hornchurch non save attempts.
